You blew your whole budget for the holidays on the big-ticket items, didn’t you? Don’t worry. We’ve got you covered with an array of Dollar General stocking stuffers for people who like sweet treats they can eat. This list will give you plenty of options to choose from. These small but mighty finds will fill even the largest stockings that you have yet to stuff.
- Milk Chocolate Hot Cocoa Ball with Marshmallows
-
Dinner and a show! Errr or rather, drink and an activity! Give the gift of an interactive product from Dollar General that makes a delicious cup of warm hot chocolate (with marshmallows!). Christmas Day plans just write themselves from here. Pull a hot cocoa ball out of a stocking, pop a bag of popcorn, and dive headfirst into the plethora of Hallmark movies streaming for the holiday season.
- Terry’s Milk Chocolate Orange
-
Terry’s Milk Chocolate Oranges are a holiday staple and Dollar General seemed to get the memo on that. Regardless of how precious space is on their shelves, they dedicated a bit of it to the beauties that are Terry’s milk chocolate oranges. Put these in all the stockings you have to find supplies for this year and watch everyone happily crack into them on Christmas morning.
- Haribo Goldbears Holiday Edition Gummi Candy
-
I come from a Haribo Goldbears family, so I’m a little more lenient on this “holiday edition” from Dollar General. Haribo really just took a normal bag of Goldbears and cut down the flavors to strawberry, pineapple, and raspberry. The redeeming factor here is that, hey, they’re still Haribo Goldbears and Haribo Goldbears are damn good gummies. Anyone would be happy to find these stuffed into their stockings.
- Skittles Candy Canes
-
Every stocking needs a candy cane, and it just so happens that Dollar General has one of our favorites! Against all odds, these candy canes that contain all five Skittles flavors at once really wowed us. Then again, I suppose you’re digging into a handful of Skittles all at once, so we already know the flavors work well together.
- Nerds Holiday Rope Candy
-
Dollar General loses a few points by not having the holiday mix (watermelon, wild cherry, and punch) in Gummy Clusters form. I think of Nerds Gummy Clusters as the Nerds Rope’s cooler, younger sibling. Still, I have to admit that a rope is perfect for stuffing stockings—you could cram a lot of these puppies in that lil fur-lined sock.
- Lindt Lindor Holiday Chocolate Truffles
-
Lindt’s Lindor truffles fill a very large hole in our list. Literally. We need something small but mighty to fill in the spaces between other things in the stockings. While you certainly could fill up those cracks with loose Reese’s Pieces, I have a feeling these truffles will go over better with the receiver. At $6 a bag, these are a bit of a splurge by Dollar General standards, but, hey, Christmas only comes once a year.
