Every time we think that we’re at critical mass with news of Dubai chocolate products, something comes along that makes us go, “okay, maybe this one is pretty good.” Dubai-style chocolate items, which are increasingly pretty loosely defined as a combination of pistachio, chocolate, and kadayif (also known as knafeh or kunafa), show no signs of going away: In the last week alone, we’ve covered new Dubai chocolate from Godiva, the return of Dubai-style items to Baskin-Robbins, and new Magnum Dubai Chocolate Ice Cream Bars. Now, though, we bring you something different entirely: pizza.

Yep. Dubai chocolate pizza. This option has just been teased by Domino’s (in what may or may not be a joke), and while the restaurants that are getting it are thousands of miles away from the US – it’s currently only available in Malaysia – we wouldn’t be surprised if it makes it over soon. Here’s what you need to know.
Domino’s Malaysia Dubai Chocolate Pizza: Why Does Everyone Else Get All the Fun?
Domino’s Malaysia announced its new Kunafa Pizza on its official Instagram last week, and shortly after, it had to follow up with a comment saying, “Ooofff this post has gone international.” Well, was it any surprise that it did? This dessert pizza will start with a classic Domino’s crust, which is then topped with what looks like a pistachio cream for its base. Then, it’s sprinkled with pistachio bits and kunafa pieces, and topped with a drizzle of chocolate sauce. We have to admit, we are very interested in this one.
Now, because of the timing of this Instagram post (which dropped on April 1), a lot of people were quick to dub it as an April Fool’s prank. And you know what? It still could be an April Fool’s prank. Domino’s Malaysia hasn’t officially confirmed any release date yet for the pizza – and if we’re wrong about this one, we hold our hands up and apologise. That said, given the buzz in the comment section and the sheer number of people saying how much they need to try this pizza, if it is a joke, we’d imagine its recipe developers are scrambling to get it ready for actual release as we speak. Don’t drop the ball on this one, Domino’s.
Change Is Afoot at Domino’s
The Kunafa Pizza is just the latest in a bunch of moves from Domino’s that demonstrate that the brand is in a very productive phase. The restaurant has been in the midst of a revamp since 2024, and a few weeks back, it announced a major change to its pizza tracker. It’s also been busy in other, slightly more curious ways – including launching a new Slice Sauce in tandem with a watch offer. Yeah.
