Easy lunch ideas save time, money, and mental energy. Take it from someone who has been extremely lazy with his lunch prep—your wallet will thank you for having even the most negligible amount of foresight. It’s hard to stay on top of things when you have to constantly cook at night to make your lunch for the next day, but you’ll go broke ordering lunch via Postmates every day. But you don’t have to spend your Sunday toiling over twee little bento boxes for the week to have lunch covered—you just have to fill your fridge and freezer with quick, easy lunch ideas, like the ones I found on a recent trip to Costco. These are the best easy lunches you can grab from Costco in a jiffy to save yourself (and your bank account) some grief.
- Frankly Fresh Chicken Breast Burrito Bowl
-
If you’ve ever set foot in a Costco, you know where to look for easy lunches: the deli. Prepared foods as far as the eye can see. Okay, well like three half-aisles, but still. There’s a lot of options! I didn’t want to make this list all about easy lunches in the deli section, so I just went with the best option, in my opinion: Frankly Fresh’s Chicken Breast Burrito Bowl. It’s got protein, carbs, veggies, and plenty of flavor in one little bowl. You can’t go hungry with these around, no matter how busy you are.

- Chipotle Ranch Chop Salad Bagged Kit
-
A bagged salad kit might make a good side for a family of four, but it also works as an easy lunch for one. Let Jordan Myrick show you how it’s done! This kit comes with corn, tortilla chips, and a chipotle ranch dressing—add a protein like canned black beans or precooked chicken, and get to shakin’.

- Snowfox Sushi California Crunch Sushi Bento
-
Need to ball out on a budget? Celebrate in style? Just need something a little more exciting than a salad to get you through the hellish work week? Costco’s got you covered. Grab a Costco-sized serving of sushi to dig into until your stomach starts to burst. Save the leftovers to stress eat when the late afternoon Slack messages start up again.
- Kirkland Signature Roasted Chicken Croissant Sandwich with Caesar Salad
-
If you don’t have a big appetite, this croissant sandwich/caesar salad combo from Costco is pretty perfect for eating over the course of two days. Maybe you only have to go into the office two days a week or your favorite restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays (guilty). Either way, the caesar dressing comes in a neat little cup, which makes it infinitely easier to split.
- Fly by Jing Classic Soy Scallion Noodles
-
Dried noodle packets are CLASSIC lunch fare, but that doesn’t mean they have to be boring. Just look at Fly by Jing’s soy scallion noodles, which are now available at Costco! While you certainly could grab a can of soup or a few cups of Easy Mac, it’s hard to find something that really shines straight from the cupboard. This is an upgrade, for sure.

- Sambazon Organic Acai Superfruit Smoothie Pack & Clovis Farms Organic Super Smoothie Fruits and Vegetables
-
I do think that acai bowls are typically meant to be enjoyed for breakfast or as a snack, but sometimes you just can’t be bothered to eat a heaping salad or a hefty bowl for lunch. Sometimes you really do just want a light and refreshing snack. Instead of DoorDashing a $30 acai bowl from down the street, have a few acai smoothie packs and frozen fruits from Costco on hand to whip up your own.
- BONUS ITEM: Awake Caffeinated Chocolate
-
A sweet treat to end your lunch is just as important as the main event. And one that helps fight off the afternoon slump is just that much sweeter. Each Awake chocolate bar has as much caffeine as half a cup of coffee which makes it a little easier to swallow, pun intended. And you know Costco had to do what they do best, and offer it in a variety pack, so you can choose the best flavor to meet your current craving.
