Just when we thought we were out of the clear from any further fallout from California Dairies’ milk powder, another potentially contaminated product has been identified. This comes in addition to another product, expanding their list of recalled batches. It’s nice to see due diligence in catching all risky products though, so they’re both welcomed inclusions to this week’s list of recalls that are hitting the food space.

Motor City Pizza Co. 5 Cheese Bread ― Salmonella

Well, California Dairies’ milk powder is poking its head up once more. The latest concern for the milk powder with a potential salmonella contamination is Motor City Pizza Co’s 5 cheese bread.

Affected 5 Cheese Bread lots were distributed and sold nationwide at retailers including Costco, Walmart, Giant Landover, Grocery Outlet, Jewel, Kroger, Schnucks, Target, C&S, Bozzuto’s, Brookshire Grocery, Meijer, Food City, KeHe, Lipari, Publix, Merchants Dis Hickory, PDI/Hy-Vee, River Valley, SpartanNash, Supervalu, and UNFI. This affects both the single and two packs of cheese bread with best by dates ranging between 2/4/27 to 4/21/27.

TNVitamins and Doctor’s Pride Moringa Capsules ― Salmonella

Likewise, Total Nutrition is expanding its recall of TNVitamins and Doctor’s Pride Ultra Potent Complete Green Superfood Moringa Capsules that we talked about last week. This is still due to the potential to be contaminated with salmonella. Coverage for concern is still tied to both batches of 10,000mg (120 capsules) TNVitamins and Doctor’s Pride capsules. There is a new lot number to look out for among the two: lot 2748 with an expiration date of 07/2027.

Dried Herring Fish ― Botulism

Prime Food Processing, LLC is voluntarily recalling 69 cases of “Dried Herring Fish” because the product was not adequately eviscerated. The sale of such fish is prohibited under New York State Agriculture regulations because clostridium botulinum spores―the cause of botulism―are more likely to be concentrated in the viscera than any other portion of the fish.

The recalled product is identified by lot code 26020 with an expiration of 6/12/28. The recalled products were distributed to Asian grocery stores in the following states: AZ, CA, FL, HI, IL, KS, LA, MD, MO, NC, NH, NV, NY, OK, PA, TX, UT. If you have recently bought any dried herring, ask your local grocery store if they have any of the affected product.

Pearl Milling Company Original Pancake & Waffles ― Soy and Milk

Ballester Hermanos is recalling a limited number of 5.99oz pouches of Pearl Milling Company Original Pancake & Waffle mix. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the label stated “may contain milk and soy” instead of “contains milk and soy.” While it only creates a slight difference, it was a labeling error that needed to be corrected. The recalled product was sold in different retail stores in Puerto Rico and has expiration dates of 1/23/27, 1/24/27, and 2/25/27 with full lot numbers available on the FDA’s website.
