Everything You Need to Know About Girl Scout Cookie Season 2024

There is something so exciting about waiting an entire year for a much-anticipated event to occur, especially when you don’t know exactly when that event will occur. And much like the McRib, Lunar New Year, and my dad using the phrase “no cap,” Girls Scout cookie season takes me by surprise every single year and this year is no exception—they’ve officially started taking orders for the 2024 season. I already know what you’re thinking…

Where can I find a Girl Scout so I can buy ALL the Thin Mints? When can I find a Girl Scout so I can buy ALL the Thin Mints? How can I find a Girl Scout so I can buy ALL the Thin Mints?

All valid questions. As for where you can find Girl Scout cookies, I’m sure they will show up in front of grocery stores as soon as the cookie shipments come in, but until then, I say ask a coworker who has a kid in Girl Scouts (if they haven’t already approached you first). They’ll be happy their kid gets more cookie sales and you’ll be happy because you’ll have cookies delivered to you at work. As for when you can find the cookies, turns out there is a tracker online that will tell you when and where cookie booths will be located in your zip code and when. There aren’t any in my area yet, but it appears that booths are scheduled to start popping up in early February. So the wait is almost over! And the Girl Scout cookie lineup this year looks (as ever) pretty fire. They’ve got Adventurefuls, Caramel Chocolate Chip, Caramel deLites/Samoas, Do-Si-Dos/Peanut Butter Sandwich cookies, Girl Scout S’mores, Lemonades, Lemon-Ups, Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs, Thin Mints, Toast-Yay!, Toffee-tastic (their gluten free offering), and Trefoils. So no new Girl Scout cookies this year but plenty of oldies and goodies returning for our cookie feasting pleasure.

On top of that, a bunch of new Girl Scout Cookie brand collabs have been hitting the market, with everything from Girl Scout Cookie Cold Brew in Coconut Caramel, Thin Mint, and Chocolate Peanut Butter from Chameleon Coffee, to a new body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and deodorant collab from Native. Yes, that’s real. You can smell like Lemon (Lemonades), Trefoils, Samoas, Thin Mints, or Peanut Butter (specifically what looks to be Do-Si-Dos). All of the products are available in Thin Mint and Samoa, the others are just deodorant and body wash. Wild. (Side Note: I smelled all of these in Target yesterday and the Samoa, in a surprising turn of events, is hands down the most accurate). Back in October Skippy released collab PB bites in a few different collab flavors, and I’ve even seen a new Thin Mints snack mix pop up on shelves at Costco recently in honor of ~the season~ being upon us (though, for the life of me, I cannot find it online; perhaps it is very limited).

The point is, cookie season is here, the collabs are here, so go out and pick up your cookies whenever you start to see them in the wild in the next couple weeks. And hey, maybe if you put on a deodorant that smells like the cookies while you go to pick up the cookies, someone will want to pick you up as well (no promises though).
