Fishwife Sardines Just Announced The Quirkiest Collab

The Dieux x Fishwife collaboration is available now in the form of Dieux Skin’s cult-classic Forever Eye Patches that have taken the beauty industry by storm. Not only are they a reusable alternative to the ultra-trendy under-eye skin care patches, but they have collaborated with different artists and companies to create unique and interesting designs for the eye patches over the years. In one case, they even walked the runway at New York Fashion Week. Let’s get into the details of this collaboration and how you can get your hands on it, shall we?

Quirky Collab And Fabulous Design

If you’ve been in the food space on social media over the past couple of years, you inevitably know all about Fishwife. At least you’d be able to recognize their iconic illustrations on their tinned fish boxes. Ultimately, that’s the quality that Dieux was able to utilize for this collaboration as well. Not only are the tinned fishes available from Fishwife ethically sourced and produced to the highest quality, but their flavors and in-house illustrator have created a unique identity for the brand.

The Forever Eye Patches that are available through this collaboration utilize illustrations from Fishwife’s in-house illustrator, and the designs can become part of your daily skin care routine. The 100% medical-grade silicone eye patches have two similar but slightly different designs on them.

One patch has a decorative fish emblem with the Dieux logo on it. Meanwhile, the other patch has that same fish in the alternate direction with the Fishwife logo. These patches are sold in a metal tin — as all of Dieux’s Forever Eye Patches are — but in the case of this collaboration, it creates the illusion of a tin of fish thanks to the specific design on the patches.

Ultimately though, they’re just super cute. They have the kind of pattern on it that would make them instantly desirable, regardless of if this was a collaboration with one of our favorite food companies. The tiny flower designs and hand-drawn fish on the patches are irresistibly adorable, and the approach to these patches as a reusable alternative to the over-consumption of plastic is not only impressive but also true to both brands’ ethos. 

The Intersection Of Food And Beauty

Fishwife is a sustainable company through and through, and Dieux makes its own attempts to integrate sustainability wherever it can into the beauty industry as well. The intersection between tinned fish and skincare might not inherently make perfect sense. But when you think about what both brands are trying to accomplish within their own respective industries, the bigger picture becomes a bit clearer.

The patches are available on both Fishwife website and the Dieux website. From the Dieux site, you can buy the patches on their own for $25. But on the Fishwife site, you can buy the patches in their Glowing Skin Bundle with three tins of their Sardines with Preserved Lemon for $69.
