Whether we want it to or not, the fall season is already approaching fast. In the next week or so, children will start to go back to school and, soon after, time will slip away through to the end of the year. One of the things that makes fall so special in the United States is the camaraderie around the football season. And, whether or not you actually enjoy the sport or even understand it, Friday through Sunday is filled with gatherings of family and friends during fall on behalf of the sport. The household company Pillsbury is making the most of this joyous season ahead and helping the community celebrate the legendary teams in their lives through the return of their Football Shape Cutout Cookie Dough.

Unlike some of the other ready to bake Pillsbury cookie doughs, these aren’t just a regular sugar cookies with the design of a certain shape on top (think, the classic pumpkins). Instead, these are each cut out into the shape of a football with brown and white dough used to depict the shape and design. I must say, I would expect for these cookies to be made with chocolate dough as the brown part of the football, but Pillsbury decided to go with all plain sugar cookie dough, just simply colored to get the design across.

Not only are these perfectly on theme for the exciting season ahead, but they have that same classic sugar cookie taste that everyone knows and loves from Pillsbury. And, since Pillsbury clearly knows their audience quite well at this point, they have gone ahead and made sure that these are safe to eat raw, as well. In order to make these safe to eat raw, they are made with heat treated flour, pasteurized eggs, and ready to eat manufacturing practices.

These cookies are ready to bake up, same as most Pillsbury cookies by popping them into a 350 degree oven on a tray lined with parchment paper. They only need 12-14 minutes to bake making them the ultimate convenience for hosting games or last minute gifts for the host of your next get together. Plus, you get 20 of them per box, so they’re basically begging to serve a crowd. You get all of the deliciousness of a regular cookie, but they’re delightfully cute and on theme and can be baked up fresh at your leisure.
