Krispy Kreme Is Giving Away Free Donuts on March 9

Free donuts! We repeat, FREE DONUTS! Well, if you buy some, that is. So…NEARLY FREE DONUTS! That’s what Krispy Kreme is offering its customers on Monday, March 9, in a deal that celebrates Daylight Saving Time (which we didn’t realize needed to be celebrated, but hey – anything that eases the pain of losing an hour in bed is good by us). For one day, and one day only, you can grab yourself some free Original Glazed donuts, provided that you’ve got yourself a promo code.

Free Donuts on March 9

If you head down to any Krispy Kreme store on Monday (or order online or through its app) and use the code SPRING, you can get yourself a dozen Original Glazed donuts for free. The catch is that you have to buy a dozen Original Glazed donuts first. So, essentially, you’re getting 24 donuts for the price of 12 – which is still pretty good, we’ve gotta say.

This deal is only available on Monday, with Krispy Kreme offering the deal today to give ‘em out to help folks “power through the sleepiest Monday of spring.” You can only get one free batch per customer.

And hey, after you’ve got your free Krispy Kremes, you can then head over to Burger King for even more free breakfast food: The burger chain is giving out free breakfast items every day this week, and on Monday, it’s the Croissan’wich that’s up for grabs with a $3 spend. Tomorrow you can grab yourself a free iced coffee, and on Wednesday it’s free Toast Sticks. How good is that?

Those Donuts Don’t Stop

It’s been a busy few months for Krispy Kreme, and we can’t help but feel that this free donut offer is a good way for it to get people back in-store and to keep its name on everyone’s lips. It’s been doing that in other ways, too. A few weeks back, it re-released its Chocomania lineup, which was only available for a frustratingly short period before those chocofied donuts were ripped from shelves once more. It’s also been going hard on the promo of its Big Apple donut (which we obligingly tried recently, and which, frankly, we thought was pretty good – despite it being wildly expensive).

Krispy Kreme has also been giving away free donuts elsewhere, doing so on Mardi Gras, provided that you came into one of its stores wearing beads. That was for one donut, though – and today, they’re going big. So, if your team in the office is looking a little bit more tired than usual this Monday, this could be the perfect pick-me-up, in doughy, sugary form.
