The latest food trend to hit the algorithm is “ice cream that’s shaped like other food.” You’re probably familiar with this concept from the “Not Fried Chicken” ice cream bucket that went viral a few years ago. Creatively crafted, the treat looks just like a fried chicken drumstick. In reality, it’s actually waffle ice cream that’s layered atop a chocolate-covered cookie “bone” and covered with crushed corn flakes to give the appearance of crispy chicken skin. Now other meaty foods are getting the ice cream treatment.

But first, Not Fried Chicken moved up to the big leagues this week…
Literally. Not Fried Chicken just launched in Yankee Stadium this week! Call it divine timing, call it the trend hitting its peak at the freaking perfect timing. You couldn’t write a better story than this. Ice creams shaped like other foods are here and they are coming out in full force!
H Mart is leading the charge on the meat-shaped ice cream trend
This week is a real frenzy over in the frozen aisle at H Mart, America’s largest Asian grocery chain. It’s worth noting that fruit-shaped ice cream has been a staple at H Mart for some time. The newest news on the trend is that H Mart is stocking up on some truly wacky food-shaped ice creams this week.
Starting off strong we have a steak-shaped frozen dessert that tastes like strawberry milk. Then there’s the burger frozen dessert that is salted butter flavored? Sure, why not. We wouldn’t dare think of skipping the milk chocolate-flavored coated fries crunch pop with bonus strawberry jam pack inside. Of course to end things off, a chicken leg of their own. This one’s spicy with chili flavored ice cream. I’m unsure if this one also comes with a cookie “chicken bone” to match Life Raft Treats’ version but maybe that’s trademarked.
It’s safe to say that if you have money in the food-shaped ice cream market, things are looking up for you! While it may be too late to invest in your own line to capitalize on the latest food trend, it’s just the right time to get to H Mart to load up your cart and dig in for yourself.
