GHOST has made their name by translating specifically non-natural flavors to the energy drink format: sour candy, blue raspberry, popsicles, bubblegum, and even a few sodas before the end of this year. The brand has launched a few licensed fruit flavors with Welch’s and a few generic classics like Tropical Mango, but as a whole, GHOST goes for “larger than life” rather than down-to-earth flavors.
Today, I’m reviewing a rare addition to the latter category: GHOST Strawberry Watermelon Energy. This drink is rolling out to stores now, but GHOST was nice enough to send over an early can for Sporked‘s most caffeinated writer. Let’s find out whether the upstart energy brand can go two-for-two with these new slim energy flavors.
Where can I get GHOST Strawberry Watermelon Energy?
GHOST is launching four 8.4oz slim cans of their popular energy drink in convenience stores nationwide: the topic of today’s review, the topic of last week’s review (OG Colada), the fan-favorite Welch’s Grape, and “Original.” These drinks offer a smaller serving size and a half-dose of caffeine to match: just 100mg of caffeine per can. For reference, an 8.4oz can of Red Bull contains just 80mg of caffeine; GHOST is producing slightly higher-octane drinks for folks who don’t want to nurse a drink all morning long.
