Best Grammy Party Food & Drinks, Based on Your Favorite Artists

The 2023 Grammys are on this weekend, and watching Music’s Biggest Night (as I’m sure at least one emcee will call it) just wouldn’t be the same without a few friends and a lot of snacks. Here’s what you should serve based on who you want to see walk away with a golden gramophone.

If you’re rooting for Lizzo: Lesser Evil Organic Popcorn with “No Cheese” Cheesiness

After abiding by a vegetarian diet for a bunch of years, Lizzo became fully vegan in 2020. We’ve tried lots of vegan snacks here at Sporked, but this vegan popcorn from Lesser Evil is the perfect plant-based party snack. The secret? Nutritional yeast, which gives these nice big kernels a cheesy flavor without any actual cheese being involved. It’s delicious. Blame it on the nooch

If you’re rooting for ABBA: Ben & Jerry’s Peanut Butter Half Baked

In 1978, ABBA was the biggest thing to come out of Sweden since meatballs. And while “Take a Chance on Me” was at the top of the charts, a couple of dudes named Ben & Jerry launched a little ice cream company up in snowy Vermont. In the ensuing 40 or so years, neither ABBA nor Ben & Jerry’s ice cream have gone out of style—they’re both that good, but Peanut Butter Half Baked is the absolute best. In my ranking of the best Ben & Jerry’s flavors, I wrote, “The chocolate and peanut butter ice creams are super rich and flavorful, and the peanut butter cookie dough adds a little bit of saltiness and chew. If you like the taste of Reese’s peanut butter, I think you’ll like B&J’s take on peanut butter cookie dough.”

If you’re rooting for Bad Bunny: Coconut Pocky

Bad Bunny loves coconut desserts, but if you’re not up for making coconut flan for your guests, put out some Coconut Pocky. In his ranking of the best Pocky flavors, Sporked contributor Danny Palumbo wrote, “There are little shreds of coconut on the chocolate that provide both texture and flavor, and there’s a lot of coconut. Really, the biscuit is the last thing you taste here, and I think that’s great.” Es un coco you’ll never forget.

If you’re rooting for Coldplay: Utz Cheese Balls

Before you get all worked up, this is a Music of Spheres joke, not a “Coldplay are cheese balls” joke (although I don’t necessarily think that’s untrue). The British band’s latest record is up for album of the year, so serve your friends some non-musical spheres they’ll love. “Utz’s cheese balls have such a great texture—they’re super crunchy and delicious,” Danny wrote in his ranking of the best cheese puffs. “The flavor is quite sharp and tangy, and these contain a lot of fat and salt per serving.”

If you’re rooting for Doja Cat: Cutwater Pineapple Margarita

Doja Cat loves cocktails. Hey, what a coincidence. We love cocktails, too. We’re going with something “Juicy” for Doja Cat fans: Cutwater’s Pineapple Margarita. “Cutwater does not carbonate their Margaritas. So this tastes more like a traditional take on the cocktail, albeit with less of a distinct tequila flavor,” Justine Sterling wrote in her ranking of the best canned cocktails. Everyone’s gonna love this Grammys party.

If you’re rooting for Kendrick Lamar: Post Fruity Pebbles Candy Bar

Okay, I know “Cartoon & Cereal” is way old at this point, but Kendrick Lamar really does love cereal and his favorite is Fruity Pebbles. I’m not going to sit here and tell you to serve cereal at a Grammys party, but I will tell you to stock up on some Fruit Pebbles Candy Bars for your guests. As my colleague Jordan Myrick wrote, these things are insane: “The texture is crunchy and creamy. It’s a little fruity, super sweet, and tastes so dang nostalgic.” We think Kendrick would approve.
