At this point, we feel that Grillo’s Pickles simply can’t be stopped – can’t be stopped collaborating with other brands, that is. The company has been on a mission over the last few years to get dill pickle flavors into, quite honestly, anything it can think of. In the last 12 months alone, we’ve seen everything from pickle beer to pickle smoothies, pickle-scented candles and pickle-adjacent lip balm. And that’s just from Grillo’s, too: Pickle flavors are everywhere in 2026.

Well, now, the pickle producer is back with yet another collab, and this time, it’s coming for your fats. Let’s discuss.
Grillo’s Pickles x PopUp Bagels
Grillo’s Pickles and PopUp Bagels have just announced that they’re teaming up to create a Hot Pickle Butter, a one-of-a-kind spread that capitalizes not only on the pickle trend that’s truly swept the nation, but also the inclination we’re seeing at the moment to get heat into everything (see hot honey and other swicy flavors for evidence of that one). The Hot Pickle Butter is made with Grillo’s Pickles Hot Chips, which take the brand’s original pickles and add fresh habanero and jalapeño peppers, which are duly mixed into the fat.
According to PopUp Bagels, the collaboration is very much a “let’s see how far we can take this” kinda thing. “Both brands take familiar things people already love and push them somewhere louder, bolder, and a little unexpected,” said PopUp Bagels founder Adam Goldberg in an official press release. “Hot Pickle Butter felt like the obvious next move.” Okay, well, it may not have been the obvious next move to us, but hey – we appreciate that there are people out there putting these kinds of food products out into the world. If nothing else, so we can turn to our friends with smug satisfaction and say, “hey, heard about hot pickle butter?” And that’s something you can’t buy.
Where, And When, Can I Try This New Butter?
The burning questions. Grillo’s and PopUp Bagels’ Hot Pickle Butter will only be available at the latter’s locations nationwide, which you can find on its website. The butter is only around for two weeks, though: It dropped yesterday, May 28, and it’ll be available until June 10, while supplies last.
As for whether it’ll taste good…well, the jury’s out, but I have faith. Smoothness, tanginess, and spice all make good bedfellows, and then you pile all of those flavor notes onto a bagel? I think…I might be sold here, guys.
