Halo Top Is Giving Away a $10,000 Ice Cream Pint Covered in Jewels

I never thought I’d live to see the day, but Halo Top ice cream is ten years old. *Sniffle* They grow up so fast. To celebrate their tenth anniversary (“Tinfinity” if you’re a New Girl fan), the low-calorie ice cream company is giving away a single pint of their signature Birthday Cake flavor in a container literally encrusted in $10,000 worth of precious gems. No, seriously. I can’t make this stuff up.

This “ultra-limited edition” ice cream pint (they only made one) is covered in “diamonds, rhinestones, rubies, sapphires, and emeralds.” Geez, on my tenth birthday the only crystals in my ice cream were from freezer burn (though I’m sure it was still delicious). Then again, I’m also not an internationally beloved “better for you” ice cream brand, so like, I get it. The budget is somewhat different.

Now for the part you have been waiting for: How to win this thing?! Turns out, it’s a good ol’ fashioned birthday hat contest. But not just any hat. To enter, you have to post a picture or video of yourself wearing a Halo Top pint as a birthday hat on Instagram or TikTok between now and July 14. You also have to tag Halo Top and add the hashtags #HaloTopBirthdayHat and #contest to the post. Pretty simple ask considering you could get a jewel-encrusted ice cream tub out of the whole endeavor. You can get more info here about the contest rules and how to enter.

Now, this all sounds great, but I have one question: Will these $10,000 worth of jewels be affixed to a regular pint container made out of paper? That just seems odd somehow. Maybe it will be some sort of reusable plastic? Who knows! All I know is that this diamond-covered pint of frozen ice cream will give new meaning to the term “icy.” And I think that’s pretty cool.
