Nobody likes a dry burger. The same goes for fries that barely have enough ketchup to cover half the pile or a hot dog that runs out of mustard after the first few bites. Thankfully, one of the biggest names in condiments has finally decided it’s time to tackle a problem that fast-food fans have quietly put up with for years. And the solution is every bit as clever as it is satisfying.

Finally, A Red Card Everyone Wants

On July 8, 2026, Heinz introduced Penalty Packets, a limited-edition collection of oversized ketchup and mustard packets inspired by the famous red and yellow cards seen on soccer fields around the world.

The timing couldn’t be better. This summer, soccer fans have been seeing plenty of red and yellow cards during one of the sport’s biggest tournaments. Heinz looked at those colors and knew those aren’t warning cards―they’re ketchup and mustard. Instead of sending players off the field, these cards are here to rescue burgers, fries, chicken tenders, hot dogs, and every other game-day snack that deserves a little more flavor.

It’s What Fans Have Been Asking For

The idea wasn’t random, either. Heinz knew fans have been asking for larger ketchup packets for years. Rather than making everyone tear open three or four tiny packets just to finish one meal, the company decided to supersize them. And if the comments on the Instagram post by Heinz is anything to go by, fans are absolutely loving the idea of the Penalty Packets, with one fan saying, “Whoever came up with this idea deserves a raise.”

Here’s How To Score A Box

Penalty Packets are available for a limited time through heinzpenaltypackets.com, which sends shoppers to Walmart.com while supplies last.

The Penalty Packets Box costs $1.57, a clever nod to Heinz’s famous “57.” Inside, buyers will get one oversized ketchup red card, one oversized mustard yellow card, plus extra Heinz ketchup and mustard packets for what might be a play on soccer’s substitutions. It’s a small promotion with a surprisingly relatable idea behind it. Almost everyone has wished for just a little more ketchup at some point. Heinz simply decided to make that wish come true.

Whether these oversized packets become a permanent menu staple is anyone’s guess. But for now, fans finally have a chance to stop rationing ketchup one fry at a time, and that might be the biggest win of the World Cup for fast food lovers.
