Here’s What Halloween Candy You Are Based on Your Zodiac Sign

Halloween is just around the corner, which means the average American’s candy intake will increase by approximately 300%. No source for that one, just speaking from personal experience. But not everyone’s candy go-to’s are the same, just like not every personality is the same. And since there is so much variety in both, we are here to tell you what candy you are based on your zodiac sign so that this Halloween you can not only eat your favorite candy, but also the candy that ~objectively~ fits you best based on your sign (and if those two candies happen to be the same, please let us know how magical and awesome we are in the comments).

Aries (March 21-April 19): Kit Kat

Kit Kats are a klassic. It is actually difficult to find a person who dislikes Kit Kats. People either love them, really love them, or “wouldn’t say no if you offered them one.” Aries are the same way—people love to love ‘em, they make great leaders, and you would be hard-pressed to find anyone who hates them.

Taurus (April 20-May 20): Hershey’s Bars

Sometimes spooky season can be stressful. With everyone in a spoopy mood you are bound to receive some tricks mixed in there with your treats. But you can always count on your grounded, peaceful Taurus friends to despook a room. Not in a buzzkill way, but in more of an, “Ah yes, I am okay, it’s just a little spooky goof, c’est la vie,” kind of way. All that is to say. Hershey’s bars are calming (how satisfying is that break?), creamy, and one of the more soothing and nostalgic candy bars out there, besides the creamy part, that is Tauruses in a nutshell.

Gemini (May 21-June 20): Everlasting Gobstoppers

Gobstoppers are underrated. They have a hard candy exterior, a SweeTART-like interior, and, get this, the exterior and interior are two different flavors! You know whose personality can sometimes have two distinct flavors? Geminis, that’s who.

Cancer (June 21-July 22): Jolly Rancher Gummies Trickies

Jolly Rancher Gummies Trickies have this soft, melty, sticky gummy texture that’s unique and, at first, a little off-putting. It takes a bit of chewing to adjust, and then once you do—once your teeth figure out what they’re working with—you realize how special these Halloween gummy candies are. That’s Cancer in a nutshell. Also, y’all are some of the funniest people on the planet, and Jolly Rancher Trickies Gummies have some of the funniest faces I’ve seen on a candy.

Leo (July 23-August 22): Reese’s Pumpkins

Reese’s Pumpkins are one of the most well-known, well-liked specific-to-Halloween candies out there. People love them. Their ratio of PB to Chocolate is better than the other Reese’s. Basically, people feel that these seasonal Reese’s are unique and special. This is similar to Leos, whose friends know how special they are and will sing their praises all year round. Plus, Leos always have that main character energy of “not being like the other girls,” so to speak, and so do Reese’s Pumpkins. They are certainly not like the other Reese’s. But that is why we love ‘em.

The Best New Halloween Candy to Buy This Year

Virgo (August 23-September 22): Dubble Bubble

Virgos are very busy people, and this is one of the best candies for when you want to be doing something else while enjoying your Halloween candy haul. Plus, not only is gum not distracting in the same way some melty chocolate bar would be, it also helps you focus—exactly what a busy Virgo needs in their life.

Libra (September 23-October 22): M&Ms Pumpkin Pie

Just like your friendly neighborhood Libra, Pumpkin Pie M&Ms are sweet, warm, and crowd-pleasing. They have a subtle hint of spice that’s smoothed over by the sweet milk chocolate, similar to the way Libras always smooth over their bad moods in the presence of company. (Let it out, Libra, just let it out.) Plus, it’s Libra season, and these represent everything critical to the month of October—candy, pumpkins, and fall spices—with an aesthetically pleasing color profile, no less. (Libras love an aesthetically pleasing color profile.)

Scorpio (October 23-November 21): Haribo Vampire Bats 

Sour. Scary. Fanged. Adorable. Are we talking about your Scorpio friend who’s a little pissed off (and/or flirting with you) or a bag of Haribo Sour Vampire Bats? Hard to say; they’re basically interchangeable. Upon closer inspection, you’ll find that these small gummy bats are also weirdly sexually charged, as they look alarmingly similar to penises the with wings. (I’m so serious, who designed these? What was the thought process?) And if I know anyone who’s inappropriately sexually charged at all times, it’s you, Scorpio. 

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21): Smarties

Sagittariuses are extremely curious about the world around them (for instance, if anyone knows what malted milk balls are, it’s them). And you know what curious people often are? Smarties. Am I basing this one on a pun? Yes. Does that make it any less accurate? No, ma’am.

Capricorn (December 22-January 19): Tootsie Pops

Capricorns are the most patient of the signs. You know what else takes patience? Getting to the center of a Tootsie Pop (that is unless you are a certain cartoon owl who bites into lollipops like a maniac). My point is, if anyone can get to the center of a Tootsie pop the right way (licking it like a normal, non-cartoon-owl person), it is Capricorns.

Aquarius (January 20-February 18): Nerds Gummy Clusters

Nerds gummy clusters are the most significant innovation of our lifetime. There. I said it. The internet is whatever (sorry, internet), but I firmly believe Nerds gummy clusters are propelling us into the future in a way the internet never could. I mean, come on—a gummy with crunchy, tangy sugar clusters on it? All delivered in a bite-sized and rainbow-colored package? The world will never be the same. The game is forever changed. Gone are the days of having to choose one texture or flavor of candy to live with for a whole movie. And that innovative and revolutionary spirit is the most Aquarius thing to ever Aquarius, in my book.

Pisces (February 19-March 20): Red Hots

Spicy Pisces strikes again with one of the spiciest candies out there: Red Hots. Why Red Hots and not Atomic Fireball? Because Pisces are not only spicy, they are also sweet and nostalgic, and I feel like everyone has lovely memories of eating Red Hots at Halloween time or using them for decoration/reindeer noses come the holiday season. They are as versatile as they are delicious, and our fiery-yet-kind Pisces fit that bill perfectly.
