New Hershey’s Pumpkin Spice Latte Nuggets Taste Exactly Like a PSL in Chocolate Form

Pumpkin spice season is officially upon us. It’s that time of year when every brand pumpkin spice-ifies their lineups with new limited edition pumpkin flavors (including some that probably shouldn’t—looking at you, CVS brand pumpkin spice cough drops). Today we’re tasting a new, exciting release from Hershey’s: Pumpkin Spice Latte Nuggets. These are rolling out to stores now and should be available just about anywhere you find the Hershey’s brand.

Our friends at Hershey’s were kind enough to send some of these new Nuggets over (along with all of their other new goodies coming this fall), and we’re trying them out to see if these are the next big hit of Pumpkin Spice season.

Hershey’s Pumpkin Spice Latte Nuggets Review

Pros: I’ve got to hand it to Hershey’s, the PSL flavor is accurate. These Nuggets nail the pumpkin spice and the latte notes. The chocolate flavor of the Nugget marries with the PSL in a pretty satisfying way.

Cons: Hershey’s Nuggets are iconic. They’re a candy I have eaten and enjoyed my entire life. When I bit into the Hershey’s Pumpkin Spice Latte Nugget, I expected it to have the texture and consistency of a regular Hershey’s Nugget—solid chocolate. But instead, the Nugget has a PSL flavored filling. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t feel a little bit sacrilegious to modify the Hershey’s Nugget in such a way. I’d love to see the PSL flavor integrated into a solid Hershey’s Nugget instead.

Verdict: The flavor of the pumpkin spice latte is accurate and very satisfying. But if you’re a texture person like I am, don’t expect these to taste like your average Hershey’s Nugget. If you’re not bothered by those sorts of things these are worth checking out before pumpkin spice season departs!
