There are a thousand and one reasons not to go to the grocery store. Ordering your groceries ahead or getting them delivered can be a big time and frustration saver. Unfortunately, the dastardly powers that be at Trader Joe’s haven’t made their mecca of tasty snacks available via delivery services—unless you know where to look and who to talk to. Fortunately for you, I know some ways to sneak in a delivery request right under their noses.

It’s, quite literally, all about who you ask. You’ve got to find the right person for the job and ask them the right question to see that it gets done. Here are a few places to look, and how to get the deal going, to get your groceries from Trader Joe’s delivered.
TaskRabbit: The easiest way to get your Trader Joe’s delivered is by hiring someone on TaskRabbit to do the job for you. They’re all about offering their services in a general sense. So even though you may not necessarily see people offering “Trader Joe’s delivery runs” on the site, there’s a good chance you can still find someone to do the job.
Craigslist: There’s a whole section for gig jobs on Craigslist and, baby, that’s what we’re looking for. You can look for someone for a quick one-off delivery from Trader Joe’s if they’re offering delivery service. The real pro move here is to make your own listing that indicates you’ll be a repeat customer.
Dumpling: Dumpling is an app that’s kind of like Instacart, except that it simply exists customers with shoppers who operate as free agents, rather than making partnerships with stores like Instacart does. And this option is probably a little less awkward than the previous two.
Amazon: If all else fails, or you’re just too socially awkward to try to explain all of this to someone you’re hiring for a quick job, you can pull up Amazon.com. There’s nothing in this world that people won’t resell, and Trader Joe’s products are no exception. This is most helpful with snacks and shelf-stable foods; you’re on your own for fresh and frozen foods.
