Folks, it’s finally happening: KPop Demon Hunters is collaborating with Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Starting tomorrow, two boxes of KPop Demon Hunters-inspired cereals are taking the stage—one for each musical group from the film (HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys). Read on for everything we know about these cereals, including how to get your hands on them since they won’t be hitting grocery stores.
What will KPop Demon Hunters Cinnamon Toast Crunch taste like?
We don’t know. Per Cinnamon Toast Crunch, the HUNTR/X and Saja Boys boxes both feature surprise flavors you’ll have to taste to discover for yourself. The announcement post didn’t indicate whether the flavors are new or just repackaged versions of existing/former CTC flavors… meaning we’re likely dealing with the latter. (I’d expect a little more hoopla if these were brand-new flavors.) Of all things, that mystery may actually be revealed when the product listing goes live; if we can match the nutritional facts on these boxes with existing Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavors, we’ll know what cereal without the lies tastes like.
Okay, but what could these cereals taste like?
We do have one clue: Both the announcement post and the press release stated these flavors were inspired by songs from the film. Based on the color scheme of the boxes and the characters’ outfits, it seems clear that the songs showcased are “Golden” and “Soda Pop.” The title of the former makes me think the HUNTR/X flavor will emulate a different General Mills cereal: Golden Grahams. (It turns out CTC already makes a Golden Grahams-alike called “CinnaGraham Toast Crunch,” which feels mighty appropriate.)
As for the latter, believe me: if there were a soda pop-flavored Cinnamon Toast Crunch, I would know. The only fruity CTC variant on shelves now is Strawberry, which would be a perfunctory pick. I’m just not sure the CTC format will make for a convincing soda-flavored cereal. (It’s the powder coating.)
How can I get KPop Demon Hunters Cinnamon Toast Crunch?
