​​Krispy Kreme Brought Back a Fan-Favorite Flavor—But It Disappears After April 19

Keep your chocolate, your vanilla, your salted caramel: For me, when it comes to donuts, it’s all about berry flavors. Nothing beats the slightly tart, sweet burst of raspberry or strawberry jam nestled inside of a donut, waiting to be revealed, or a sugary berry glaze draped over a pillowy ring of dough. Clearly, Krispy Kreme agrees with me here. Its berry flavors are on regular rotation, and just last week, it brought out a Strawberries and Creme donut as part of its Spring Seasonal Collection, which I am frankly desperate to try.

And now, for a few days only, it’s bringing back one of its big guns: the Strawberry Original Glazed donut. You’ll have to move quickly on this one, though, as you only have three days. Here’s what you need to know.

Krispy Kreme’s Strawberry Original Glazed: The Prodigal Son Returns

The Strawberry Original Glazed donut first dropped in 2020, and it was an immediate hit. The chain has since brought it back repeatedly, with its last drop coming in May 2025. So it’s been a whole year since people last got their sticky hands on it, and let me tell ya, they’re ready.

As for the donut itself, Krispy Kreme describes it in its press release as “a fresh take on a beloved classic, delivering the brand’s signature melt-in-your-mouth experience, enhanced with a burst of bright, vibrant strawberry flavor.” It’s got the sweetness of its Original Glazed option, but with a slightly tart twist. It’s good. Well, we think so anyway.

The kicker, of course, is that it’s around for such a short amount of time. The Strawberry Original Glazed donut drops today, April 16, and it’ll be available through Sunday. This is a firmly seasonal option, and that doesn’t look like it’s changing any time soon. So don’t miss your chance.
