Little Debbie is no stranger to the ice cream aisle. She has a full line of ice cream flavors in partnership with Hudsonville Ice Cream. She’s even dropped limited time holiday pints. But we’ve never seen this before: Little Debbie ice cream sandwiches. And you can get them right now.

What are the flavors of these new Little Debbie ice cream sandwiches?

Deb is dropping two varieties of ice cream sandwich: Cosmic Brownie and Oatmeal Creme Pie. The Cosmic Brownie is made with classic Cosmic Brownies (fudgy brownies with rainbow chips) and brownie-flavored ice cream. For the Oatmeal Creme Pie, you get vanilla creme ice cream sandwiched between oatmeal cookies

Where can you get Little Debbie ice cream sandwiches?

These two new treats have been spotted at Kroger, but keep an eye on other retailers that regularly sell Little Debbie and Hudsonville’s ice creams such as Meijer, Hy-Vee, Giant Eagle, Mariano’s, Roundy’s, and Family Fare.

Will these ice cream sandwiches be any good?

While Little Debbie ice cream has been hit or miss for us, we have high hopes for these puppies. And so does everyone else. In the comments of @snackolator’s post about the news, commenters are saying things like “Uh oh. These look so dangerous,” “Money ready. Bring them on,” and “The first good thing I’ve seen this year.”

What’s next?

There’s no sign that these new ice cream sandwiches will be joined by any other variations—but there’s no sign that they won’t be, either. If we had our way, we’d be seeing Nutty Buddy Creme Pie sandwiches with peanut butter ice cream and definitely some Christmas Tree Cake sandwiches come the holidays. You can have those ideas for free, Deb. Just make them happen.

About the Author

Justine Sterling

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.
