October is here and that means out with the fall menus and in with the Halloween ones. Though not every brand does both, I love when there’s some special Halloween treats. I find Halloween treats to just be a little more fun.

Well, one such brand is getting in on the Halloween fun this year and that’s McAlister’s Deli. The brand has just released their limited Halloween drinks and a new Halloween treat. This limited menu is available for the whole month of October, but only the month of October. No going in November 1st to try to get one of these. So, just what are these spooky treats? We’ve got a few drinks and a couple of sweet treats.
Brand New Drinks
First up, we’ve got the Witch’s Brew. And in a true witchy fashion, this drink is a delightful bright green. You’ll feel like you’re drinking an elixir. What is the drink? It’s McAlister’s old-fashioned lemonade, made with cane sugar, lemon juice, and a bewitching addition of caramel apple syrup. Um, yum? The syrup not only is delivering taste, but color. This special drink will be a little tart and a little sweet and the perfect pick-me-up to your day. Then there’s the Twisted Witch’s Brew. This is the same as the Witch’s Brew with with an added shot of Black Cherry puree. I’m getting poison apple vibes here with this bloody addition.
The last drink is a Franken-Tea. And as the name suggests this is more than just tea. It’s actually a special tea and lemonade. This is made with McAlister’s Famous Iced Tea and the Witch’s Brew. I hope they’re paying the witch brewing up all these drinks well cause she’s going to be busy this October.
Plus New Desserts
Now it’s not Halloween without some sweet treats and McAlister’s has two coming. One is a play on everyone’s favorite pumpkin shaped peanut butter cup that you can only get around this time of year (I don’t make the rules, the pumpkins just taste better okay?). This is a peanut butter pie made with Reese’s. It’s a creamy peanut butter mousse silky milk chocolate on a chocolate cookie crust, topped with caramel, chocolate, Reese’s peanut butter cups, and a rich peanut butter drizzle. Now this treat isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s going to be sweet. But it does sound really good so I will definitely be getting some while I can.
For those that like a little less sweet in their treat, you can try McAlister’s returning fall fave of their Pumpkin Pecan Cookie. This is a soft and chewy pumpkin cookie with the best of the warming spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. This cookie is studded with pecans and white chocolate chips. So, it’s still a little sweet but it gets balanced with the nuttiness of the pecan, the mellowness of the pumpkin, and all those delightfully warm fall spices.
