Their recent summer menu launched with these staple Milk Bar truths at heart. They revived an old collaboration, now only available to Milk Bar customers, and turned an iconic drink into pie. This summer’s items are keeping lovers of classic Milk Bar treats at arms length and giving a warm embrace to all the experimental foodies out there.
Taco Bell Exclusive? Not Anymore
Returning this summer to Milk Bar’s seasonal menu is their Strawberry & Corn Truffles. Previously, Milk Bar had launched these as part of a collaboration with Taco Bell. For the collaboration, the truffles featured pieces of Taco Bell crunchy taco shells. But this new rendition abstains from Taco Bell’s collaboration and is available through typical Milk Bar fashions. Instead, the truffles are made of vanilla strawberry cake truffles and filled with corn frosting. They’re then coated in what Milk Bar is calling strawberry “sand.”
To me, the most delicious summer salads have strawberries and corn in them. So I guess I already have some basis for what these will taste like―if you remove the salad and insert cake? I’m intrigued, and based on their Taco Bell success, I want to try them for myself.
Chewable Cherry Coke? Don’t Mind If I Do
Milk Bar says that their newest pie in the lineup is inspired by nostalgic summer days when your cooling drink of choice was an indulgent cherry cola float. Their Cherry Cola Pie is deeply unique and transforms a known-and-loved flavor into a new form. The chocolate cookie crust of the pie is then filled with layers of cherry cola caramel and cherry cream. The pie is then topped with a bright cherry jam. Like all the best things from Milk Bar, it’s quirky, sweet, and will leave you needing to try more. As a die-hard Cherry Coke lover, I couldn’t be more giddy to try the flavors this pie promises.
