When we tasted and ranked all the Dr Pepper flavors, Dr Pepper Strawberries & Cream came firmly in the middle. Some taste testers appreciated its Strawberry Creme Saver-esque flavor while others were disappointed by its lack of Dr Pepper flavor. But that doesn’t make us any less excited for the new Strawberries & Cream Dr Pepper Shake at Jack in the Box.

What is the Strawberries & Cream Dr Pepper Shake?

The Strawberries & Cream Dr Pepper Shake is Jack in the Box’s newest shake. It promises the flavor of Dr Pepper Strawberries & Cream, which, as we discussed, is essentially just strawberry soda. And it’s topped with whipped cream. This isn’t Jack in the Box’s first partnership with Dr Pepper. They released a Dirty Soda-style drink called Dr Jack Twisted Soda in 2024 that featured Dr Pepper mixed with sweetened cream and vanilla. And long before that in 2007, Dr Pepper was one of the options in Jack’s line of Real Ice Cream Floats

When can I get this new Jack in the Box shake?

According to Instagrammer @snackolator, the new Strawberries & Cream Dr Pepper Shake drops on April 2nd. This seems to be the year for shakes at Jack in the Box, as they recently also released an Oreo Matcha Shake

Is this the first time a fast food restaurant has made a Dr Pepper shake?

Nope! Last year, Whataburger introduced a Dr Pepper Blackberry Shake. And the year before that the chain brought back the beloved original Dr Pepper Shake. Jack in the Box is taking a big swing trying to compete with a cult-favorite chain like Whataburger. But you can bet we’ll be weighing in on the result the second we get our mitts on one of these new Dr Pepper Strawberries & Cream shakes.

Hi! I’m the editor-in-chief of Sporked. I will never turn down a fresh-shucked oyster but I’ll also leap at whatever new product Reese’s releases and I love a Tostitos Hint of Lime, even if there is no actual lime in the ingredients. Why you should trust me: I have been writing about food and beverages for well over a decade and am an avid at-home cook and snacker. I began my career writing about fine dining and recipes, moved into cocktails and spirits, and now I talk about groceries. If you can eat it or drink it, I’ve probably written about it. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s dried okra. Appleton Farms prosciutto from Aldi. Some sort of Trader Joe’s cheese (I’m into the aged gouda at the moment). Frozen waffles (usually the Eggo Cinnamon Toast Minis). Spindrift water (loving the Cosmopolitan right now). Favorite ranking: Smoked salmon. Imagine me as Scrooge McDuck but instead of coins I’m diving into a vault of slippery smoked salmon slices. Pure joy. I also found some real steals in that taste test! Least favorite ranking: Canned oysters. I had such high hopes for this but it quickly became a chore. The kitchen smelled like an uncleaned aquarium.
