It’s been a big year for Little Debbie! The snack and bakery brand has been up to more than you probably think in the first few months of 2026, as various changes and new items have been hitting the airwaves and your shelves. In addition to announcing that its products would be getting a big makeover and removing any artificial dyes, it’s also dropped new oatmeal creme pie ice cream bars (inspired by its snack cake flavor, no less), provided word of its new Chips Ahoy-style cookies, and generally projected an air of high activity.

And now it’s doing that once again. Little Debbie is expanding its donut line with a new flavor, following the huge success of its first release. We’ve got all the details right here.
Little Debbie Chocolate Old Fashioned Donuts
Little Debbie announced the release of its Chocolate Old Fashioned Donuts in a press release yesterday, nearly a year after the launch of its original Big Pack Old Fashioned Donuts, which have been a smash hit – so much so that the brand has seen them selling out again and again. “We saw an incredible response to the Old Fashioned Donut we introduced last year. We’re doubling down on what works and giving both loyalists and new fans an irresistible reason to head back to the store,” said Little Debbie brand manager Scott Brownlow, in a statement.
These donuts definitely look like they’ve been cut from the same cloth as their original donut. Its Chocolate Old Fashioned Donuts have an old-school, somewhat craggy texture that gives them the effect of being handmade (which we’re sure they’re absolutely not), and they come in similar retro-inspired packaging, with each box containing six bakes. Unlike those donuts, though, they have a rich chocolate flavor and a chocolate glaze on top. Little Debbie’s is also launching these donuts in a grab-and-go format, with individually wrapped donuts that are ideal for eating on the move.
When Are These Donuts Available?
Right now, people! Or, at least, almost right now! Little Debbie has indicated that its Chocolate Old Fashioned Donuts are now rolling out, Guy Fieri-style, to major supermarkets and smaller convenience stores alike. So far, our cursory glance at the Walmart and Target websites has confirmed that they’re not currently available at those retailers, but we assume they’re en route.
Until they do land, you’ll have to make do with its myriad snack cakes. Want our hot take? The Oatmeal Creme Pies are far and away the best, but its Nutty Buddy Creme Pies give them a run for their money. Oh, to live in a time when delicious, prepackaged snack cakes are available in every store. What a world.
