Little Debbie gives and gives. As we previously reported, not one but two new Little Debbie creme pies are ready to jockey for space in your pantry. Little Debbie Banana Puddin’ Creme Pies are arriving in stores now, according to Instagram snack correspondent Snackolator—and as a fan of both banana pudding and folksy spellings of words like “pudding,” I can’t wait. And coming soon: Those Boston Creme Pies we told you about back in November, which seems like 400 years ago at this point. But wait there’s more! (There always is.) Little Debbie has a new snack for the season called Little Debbie Spring Strawberry Delights Soft Cookies, which…seem to be smiling a demented smile at me?

Wait, why do these new Spring Strawberry Delights have faces?

I suppose it’s mostly so they look cute, but this is also an existing Little Debbie format that, granted, makes slightly more sense in other applications. For instance, in fall, you can get Little Debbie Pumpkin Delights, which have little jack o’lantern faces…in fact, they appear to be the very little jack o’ lantern faces you’ll see on the new Little Debbie Spring Strawberry Delights, triangular eyes and all! Jack o’lanterns are cosplaying as spring snacks—and this isn’t the first time! My impeccable investigative journalism skills (aka a cursory Google search) reveal that at some point Little Debbie sold Happy Camper Strawberry Filled Cookies and, yeah, they look exactly like Spring Strawberry Delights.

Okay, okay—they have faces! Like other Little Debbie products! But what are they gonna be like?

Well, details are scarce so far! All we have to go off is a photo of the packaging, which appears to show two slightly askew soft cookies with strawberry jam squished between them. If they’re anything like Pumpkin Delights, both the cookies and the filling will be strawberry flavored but we can’t say for sure yet.

When can I get my hands on these smiley snacks?

No solid details yet, but Snackolator seems to have it on good authority that they’re “coming soon.” So far they’re only listed on one grocery store’s website (Food Depot, which is a small chain based in Georgia). In the meantime, we’ll be snagging those banana “puddin’” pies the second we see them.

About the Author

Gwynedd Stuart

Howdy! I’m Gwynedd, Sporked’s managing editor. I live in Los Angeles and have access to the best tacos the U.S. has to offer—but I’m a sucker for a crunchy Old El Paso taco night every now and then. I’ve been at Sporked since 2022 and I’m still searching frozen mozzarella sticks that can hold a candle to restaurant sticks. Why you should trust me: I’ve been a journalist for 20 years (yikes), a consumer of food for 40-plus years, and I’m truly hard pressed to think of foods I don’t like (or that I can’t tolerate at the very least). Oh and one time I cooked my way through Guy Fieri’s cookbook and wrote about the journey through Flavortown. What I buy every week: Trader Joe’s Original Savory Thins. Fat free plain yogurt (usually Fage or Nancy’s). Honeycrisp apples. Sweet cream coffee creamer for my at-home Americanos. A frozen cauliflower crust pizza and some jarred mushrooms to top it with. Old El Paso Stand ‘N Stuff taco shells and Gardein Ground Be’f, even though I think “be’f” is a nightmarish contraction. Favorite ranking: Stouffer’s frozen dinners. I don’t own a microwave (I get my cancers the old fashioned way!), so I love taste testing things that I don’t really buy to eat at home. Least favorite ranking: Soy sauce. Don’t get me wrong, I love soy sauce—but consuming that much sodium in one sitting is probably illegal in some countries. Our frozen enchilada taste test was a close second; the smell of microwaved corn tortillas still haunts me.
