Twix has launched a new product and it might be the spiritual successor to my favorite candy ever, Butterfinger BB’s, which were discontinued in 2006. Twix has created its own spherical candy, Twix Bits. They’re made with a crispy, crunchy, ball-shaped cookie that’s enrobed in a creamy, chocolatey caramel coating.

Hey, what about the Left Twix- Right Twix dichotomy I’ve grown accustomed to?

Craftily, Twix has kept that branding alive by emphasizing that these new sweet little snacky bites are made with two elements: the cookie and the caramel-chocolate coating. While I do think that’s cheating, I’ll let it slide for the bit (pun intended). I love commitment to a bit. Perhaps down the line we’ll see it come full circle with bags of “left Bits” and “right Bits.” I’d bite.

Right-left be damned, Twix wants you to showcase your “Two-Ness”

To celebrate the launch of Twix Bits and keep their marketing of “two” alive, Twix is partnering with former professional basketball player LiAngelo Ball. LiAngelo serves as the “champion for unexpected two-ness hiding in all of us.” What exactly is “two-ness”? From what I can tell from their website, essentially just having two talents. If that’s you, and you do indeed have two talents (don’t most of us have at least two?), you can win a “Two-Way Contract” ($2,000) to fund your future endeavors.

Twix Bits are launching nationwide and spoiler alert, they’ve already been spotted in a few Costcos! Bold choice to jump straight into mega-sized bags but I respect the move.
