As we head into the end of August, it can only mean one thing. That’s right, fall is right around the corner and that means all those tasty fall spices and flavors are coming back. And despite what some brands would have you think, fall is not just about pumpkin. Usually some new strange products come out, too. Planters is no different and they’ve got a set of nuts for the fall ready to go.

Something New, Something Old
For this fall release, we’ve got one returning flavor and one new flavor. First, we’ve got the return of the apple cider donut cashews. These are kettle-roasted whole cashews combined with apple and cinnamon flavors. Get the joy of that fall apple spiced donut, but in a more filling, nutty snack.
The new release looks really promising and seems like a slam dunk. The new nut flavor is a maple brown sugar almond. These roasted almonds feature maple brown sugar notes and a sweet, crunchy texture. You can’t beat brown sugar anything (maybe I’m just biased, but brown sugar is really good, okay?). Maple brown sugar promises to invoke warm fall nights by the fire all in a little snackable treat you can take anywhere.
Both of these nuts are available now through Amazon and coming to retailers later in August.
Limited Time Only
Planters wanted to slip a little extra into this announcement. Which makes sense when you learn what it’s about. Fall isn’t just a time for all things warm and cozy. It’s the start of communal holidays and fall get-togethers. Planters is releasing a new size of their Special Reserve peanuts. The new size is a whopping 34 ounces. This new size is perfect for putting out for parties and snacking in a group.
While the Special Reserve is a permanent addition to Planter’s lineup, the fall flavors are, of course, only around for fall. Don’t miss out on some good snacking. Stock up while you can. I really loved the cashews last year and am thrilled they came back. And I will, of course, be very interested to try the maple brown sugar almonds. I don’t even care for almonds all that much, but for brown sugar, I’ll try anything.
