Poppi Is Releasing This New Frozen Tropical Dessert Flavor Before 2027

Poppi has another fruity surprise up its sleeve and fans might not have to wait until 2027 to try it. The soda brand is reportedly launching a Rainbow Sherbet soda a few days before the new year, with a colorful combination of raspberry, orange, and lime.

The Rainbow Sherbet was announced at the just concluded NACS show, alongside other Poppi drinks that would be hitting the soda aisle soon.

Bringing Three Classic Flavors Together

Rainbow Sherbet has a pretty recognizable flavor combination. Raspberry brings a sweet berry flavor, orange adds a juicy citrus taste, and lime gives the mix a sharper, tangier finish. Put those three together and there’s plenty of potential for a refreshing soda.

But then, Poppi won’t be the first brand to drop a Rainbow Sherbet. Cove already sells a Rainbow Sherbet prebiotic soda, and Aldi’s Summit Popz has a version of its own. So, while Poppi’s reported new flavor sounds exciting, the concept is already out there.

Cove’s version combines strawberry, orange, and lime, with zero sugar, 10 calories per can, and added prebiotics. Cove uses strawberry rather than raspberry, so it’s going to be a bit different from Poppi’s. 

Could Rainbow Sherbet Join Poppi’s Crowd Pleasers Or Trend Setters?

If Poppi is able to balance the raspberry, orange and lime flavors in Rainbow Sherbet, I wouldn’t be surprised if it eventually became a Crowd Pleaser or a Trend Setter.

For those who don’t know, Poppi’s Crowd Pleasers are Doc Pop, Wild Berry, Lemon Lime, Cherry Cola, Grape, and Orange Cream. And Trend Setters includes Orange Cream, Lemon Lime, Cherry Limeade, and Raspberry Rose. 

But that will entirely depend on what fans think of the Rainbow Sherbet. If Poppi gets the balance right, this could be a hit. But too much raspberry could make the drink taste like a berry soda, while a stronger orange flavor might bring it closer to existing citrus drinks. Lime could be the ingredient that ties everything together, adding enough tang to keep the sweetness in check.

Staying Permanently

The launch information flying around suggests that the new flavor will be a permanent addition to the lineup, which would be good news for anyone who hates to say goodbye to their favorite soda after a limited-time run. However, there’s no official word from Poppi yet. 

The reported release date is December 28, 2026, so Rainbow Sherbet could arrive just in time to close out the year.
