Have you ever looked at a pack of Tic Tacs and thought “wow, I love these tiny, convenient mints – but I wish they aligned more with my identity as a citizen of the United States of America, specifically in a visual form”? What’s that? You haven’t? Oh, strange. I thought we all wanted our mints to announce our patriotic inclinations. Isn’t that what they’re for?

That’s what they’re for this week, if Tic Tacs have anything to say about it. Coming in hot in the days leading up to July 4 are its Red, White and Blue Tic Tacs. Let’s discuss.
Red, White, And Blue Tic Tacs
These clearly limited-edition Tic Tacs were spotted, as is often the case with new candy releases, by the appropriately named @candyhunting on Instagram. Red, White and Blue Tic Tacs, which were seen by the candy blogger at Hy-Vee, are exactly what they sound like: A version of the snack that comes in the colors of the US flag.
Those of you with sharp memories for Tic Tacs might remember that they had a similar-looking version back in 2014, in the form of its Summer Ice Pop Tic Tacs – but this one has different flavors. Each pack is full of cherry (red), lemon (white), and berry (blue) candies, while Summer Ice Pop Tic Tacs had lime instead.
Move Quick!
As well as being available at Hy-Vee, we’ve also spotted these Tic Tacs for sale on H-E-B’s website, and we’d imagine they’ll be showing up in a few other retailers in the coming days. One July 4 has been and gone, though, we doubt they’ll stick around for long – so if you’re into limited-edition Tic Tac flavors, I wouldn’t delay on this one.
These Tic Tacs join a couple of other food items coming out in the final few days leading up to the US’s semiquincentennial, capping off the nonstop parade of releases we’ve seen over the last couple of months. A couple of days back, Dunkin’ released its July 4 menu, and 7-Eleven has just announced a bunch of deals on various items. It’s gonna be a busy week.
