It all starts with the basic canned mix you can buy on the supermarket shelves (which lets you save time cooking up the ground beef yourself), then diced onion, cumin, garlic powder, and chipotle powder are added to give the beef bold and spicy flavors. 

If you’re thinking this sounds pretty standard so far, get ready for this epic glow-up that follows. Instead of using a basic burger bun, the meat is served open-faced on Texas toast, so you get a pillowy garlic-butter wallop thanks to the bread. Then, jalapeño pimento cheese enters the stage for a creamy bite loaded with additional heat. But we’re not done yet. Finish the whole open-faced behemoth off with scallions and horseradish sauce. The scallions offer a touch of sweet herb while the horseradish cuts through the richness of the beef and cheese for one heck of a zesty bite.
