If you haven’t been living under a rock, then by this point you know about Dubai chocolate. (And if you don’t you can read our explainer on Dubai chocolate and catch up.) Dubai Chocolate began as a destination dessert. It then graduated to very premium brands who sold the stuff for over $20 per chocolate bar. Then it got to the fancy but attainable $13-15 bars from companies like Lindt, and now we have Dubai chocolate for the people, thanks to Russell Stover. This is Walgreens Chocolate. My man Russell, king of lookin’ lush and tastin’ cheap. Dubai chocolate has reached the ”accessible” stage of its packaged food trend journey, and we could not be more stoked.
What does Russell Stover Dubai Style Chocolate look like?
Each bag of Russell Stover Dubai chocolates includes about seven individually wrapped, rectangular milk chocolate bars stuffed with creamy pistachio and crispy shredded phyllo dough (aka kadayif), along with “hints of almond.” Per the packaging, these Dubai chocolates look more like mini chocolate bites rather than the original Dubai chocolate slabs.
Where and when can I find Russell Stover Dubai Style Chocolate?
If you are looking to buy these bad boys right ASAP now, good news, you can! It is already available at Walgreens nationwide and on Russell Stover’s website where you can buy three 4.2oz bags for $35.
Is Russell Stover Dubai Style Chocolate actually cheaper than other Dubai chocolate brands?
A 4.2oz bag of Russell Stover Dubai chocolate retails for $11.67 ($2.78/oz of chocolatey goodness). Now, the Lindt Dubai Chocolate Bar actually comes really close to this price at $14.99 for a 5.3oz bar ($2.83/oz of chocolatey pistachio-y goodness). In a strange twist, Ghirardelli is actually more expensive than Lindt and more truffle-driven in shape, with a 4oz bag of their Dubai chocolate balls costing $13.95 ($3.49/oz of chocolatey, crispy, pistachio-y goodness). All that is to say, we now have a bunch of very similarly priced options. We say try them all and see which is your fave, and don’t forget to let us know your take.
Is Russell Stover Dubai Chocolate any good?
We have to get our hands on them first, but once we taste them, don’t you worry your Dubai chocolate-loving head; you will be the first to know our thoughts.
