Snickers may satisfy, but the classic candy bar brand was not satisfied just being a sweet treat. So they teamed up with Buffalo Bills quarterback and Hailee Steinfeld spouse Josh Allen to create Snickers sauces made with actual Snickers ingredients.
The press release did not go into details about why Josh Allen got involved. Does he regularly melt down Snickers bars to make his own sauces? Does he do some sort of celebration dance that’s called the Snickers Sauce? Does he just love a squeeze bottle? It’s a mystery. But I do know what these new limited edition Snickers Sauces taste like because I tried them straight off a spoon. Read on for the full review of all three flavors.
- Snickers Sauces Caramel Buffalo
-
Pros: Oof. This is tough. Okay, I’ve got something: The texture and consistency of this sauce are good. It’s smooth and silky and will coat a wing or tender really well. It also definitely tastes like caramel and Buffalo sauce.
Cons: Caramel and Buffalo sauce do not taste good together. It’s buttery and sweet and caramelly and it’s also buttery and tangy and spicy, like Buffalo sauce. And when I say spicy, I mean spicy. Kudos for the swing, Snickers, but this simply shouldn’t exist.

- Snickers Sauces Chocolate Barbecue
-
Pros: The barbecue sauce flavor is heavy on the smoke and packs a punch. And you do get some hint of chocolate. Once again, it follows through on the promise of the premise. And it does so more successfully than the Caramel Buffalo sauce. If you basted some ribs with this sauce, I’d eat them.
Cons: The texture is all wrong. When you squeeze it out, it gets extruded. It doesn’t pool, it remains in thin little ropes. That’s not sauce. That’s not even dip. That’s just slightly melted chocolate.

- Snickers Sauces Peanut Teriyaki
-
Pros: This Snickers Sauce genuinely tastes good! It’s salty and peanutty. It tastes like a more soy-forward satay sauce. And the texture is great—thick and silky. I’d happily dip some grilled chicken into this sauce.
Cons: You can’t buy this on its own (more on that below). And, out of all the Snickers Sauces, this probably has the most tenuous connection to an actual Snickers bar. But I think, when it comes to sauce, that’s for the best.
