I Tried the New Walmart-Exclusive Sprite Flavor—and It’s an Instant Classic

After a very successful run of strawberry-kiwi flavored Sprite Chill last year, Walmart decided to go for another exclusive flavor of Sprite Chill in 2026. Enter Sprite Chill Mango Citrus!

The wonderful folks at Coca-Cola and Walmart seem to have heard my cries, because my ONLY con for last year’s exclusive Sprite Chill flavor was a lack of a zero sugar option. This year’s Sprite Chill Mango Citrus, however, is available in both full sugar and zero sugar! Today, however, we’re just taking a look at the full sugar option. (Zero sugar fans, don’t worry, we’ve got that on hand as well and will be cracking it open soon, too.)

Sprite Chill Mango Citrus is, as the name suggests, a lemon, lime, and mango flavored soda that promises that patented “chilling” effect that we’ve come to love with Sprite Chill. It’s rolling into Walmart stores nationwide NOW, and I was able to find both on a beautiful display pretty much right after the announcement dropped. Now it’s time for us to answer the question: Is Sprite Chill Mango Citrus worth your buck and should you hunt it down at your local Walmart? Read on to find out!

Pros: One of my notes for the Strawberry Kiwi Sprite Chill was that each element of the flavor was very present and noticeable. I am happy to report that this is also the case with brand new Mango Citrus. The notes of mango and lemon-lime blend together perfectly—each is distinct without one overpowering the other. It’s perfectly capped off by the iconic “chilling” effect of Sprite Chill.

Cons: It’s not Sprite Chill Strawberry Kiwi. While I think it gets close and it is still pretty incredible, it falls just short of the iconic combination of strawberry, kiwi, lemon-lime, and “chill.” Is it splitting hairs to ding a flavor for NOT being another one? Perhaps. But barring that, this flavor is immaculate.

Verdict: Sprite to a big swing with their newest entry in the Sprite Chill flavor lineup and they did not miss.
