SunnyD, the orange-flavored beverage that was popular with all the most radical dudes in the ’90s, is putting a boozy spin on your wholesome childhood. Their new vodka seltzer is totally nostalgic and has millennials excited to get drunk. We got a couple of cans to see if everyone’s favorite orange juice-ish beverage would leave us wistful (and buzzed) or have us wishing for a time before this product existed. Here are our thoughts.
- Sunny D Vodka Seltzer
Sunny D Vodka Seltzer is a very fun idea. Sadly, the idea is better than the execution. While it does have a distinct Sunny D taste that we liked, this Sunny D hard seltzer simply does not taste better than other hard seltzers on the market (a very competitive market, I might add). Don’t get me wrong, it’s fun for the purpose of nostalgia. I just don’t think this will become a staple in anyone’s fridge or a drink someone would ever order at a bar. I’ve never craved Sunny D alcohol and there’s a reason for that. Sorry, Sunny D!
