The First Combination BWW Jimmy John’s Just Opened In This State

The time has finally come for Florida. They get to experience greatness before us and I never thought the words would come out of my mouth but I am, in fact, jealous of Florida Man. I don’t know if this is a Midwest specific thing, but I really enjoy Buffalo Wild Wings and Jimmy John’s. Maybe it was because they were one of the few chains that made it into the relatively smaller towns that surrounded me. Either way, I love to see this team up.

Well, It’s A Go―Not A Stay

One important clarification that needs to happen before we move any further is that this is a Buffalo Wild Wings Go. Essentially just a counter-service version of the original sit-down experience. The many screens with sports games going on will be sorely missed but hey, innovation and all that jazz. Other than that, you can still get all the same foods that you would at a normal BWW in the Go version.

There Is One Other Thing That’s Missing

I notice a clear lack of one thing in this Buffalo Wild Wings Go x Jimmy John’s building is that there will be no chance to get a Blazin’ Wing challenge in. They really are taking all the fun away from us these days. Maybe they’ll make a Jimmy John’s sandwich that utilizes the Blazin’ sauce so we can get some sort of unique experience out of this partnership. Only time will tell.

Parents Are Making the Kids Play Together

This crafty collaboration seems to have come from the fact that both Buffalo Wild Wings and Jimmy John’s are owned by the same parent company, Inspire Brands. What we’re seeing here is just a rehash of many other combination restaurants that we’ve seen across the American landscape―Taco Bell/KFC/Long John Silver’s and Applebee’s/IHOP. What will they think of next?

Are We Excited?

I mean, the world where I can get my BWW and Jimmy John’s fix in at one stop is a beautiful world to live in. I can pick up my wings for dinner and a sandwich to stash in the fridge for lunch the next day. Then comes in the mashups to be had. Imagine a Jimmy John’s sandwich split down the middle and filled with mozzarella sticks. I need that.

It seems that Inspire Brands is already banking on this to be a success. They’ve already filed for a second store in Sarasota before the first has even opened. Quick question though. Why does Florida get all the fun on this one?
