One of the primary benefits of living in the southern United States is access to certain regional grocery stores, and there is no regional grocery store that is doing it quite like Publix. From pub subs to fried chicken, they are truly in a league of their own. But one of our favorite parts about Publix isn’t actually any specific product that they have on the shelves, and rather the consistent rotation of products on their BOGO catalogue.

I don’t think there’s any other grocery store doing BOGO deals quite like Publix is, and we will forever be grateful to the savings that it offers. Especially as groceries continue to get more and more expensive, the range of BOGO deals from the most expensive to the least expensive products in the grocery store has us feeling better about our wallets. So, these are five things we think you ought to know about on the Publix BOGO catalogue this week ahead of your weekend grocery shop.
Miss Vickie’s Potato Chips
Between endless holiday hosting and being in the midst of the full swing of football season, there’s always a reason to have potato chips around. And, to us, Miss Vickie’s are kind of an “if you know you know product.” In terms of a standard potato chip, there’s no one doing it to the same degree of excellence in flavor and texture. They’re crunchy but not going ripping the roof of your mouth open, and every single flavor is an absolute knockout. Our personal favorites are the sour cream and onion and salt and vinegar flavors. And since they’re on BOGO this week, you don’t have to be hyper selective in your flavor selections — the more the merrier.
Sukhi’s Indian Cuisine Chicken Entrées
We talked about these recently in our “Best Things We Ate This Week” series, but until we had been given a free sample of one of these chicken entrées at Costco, we really didn’t understand how well-executed they were. From butter chicken to chicken biryani, your favorite southeast Asian flavors are at your fingertips. Since there are already fully cooked, all you have to do is warm them up to the recommended temperature, and an absolute flavor bomb of a dinner is waiting for you. These are sold vacuum sealed as well, making them a perfect purchase to get on BOGO since they aren’t going to expire in a matter of days.
SMT Canned Tomatoes
Normally we wouldn’t really give the time of day to just a can of tomatoes on this BOGO list, but since we’re fully into the depths of fall now in November, it’s never a bad idea to have a couple of extra cans of good quality tomatoes in the back of your pantry when the need for a warm bowl of soup strikes. From chili to pasta sauce or even just a bowl of tomato soup with a grilled cheese, canned tomatoes are a foundational element to many of the flavors that we were rely on to get us through the fall and winter months. And hey, it’s better to stock up while something high-quality is on sale rather than waiting.
Publix Shredded Cheese
Speaking of chili, a lot of the foods we love to munch on during these cooler months are dependent on some sort of cheese being a part of the mix. Whether you’re making a seven layer dip for the next big game, mac & cheese to put on your Thanksgiving dinner table, or are just needing to restock so that you can have the best cheesy eggs in the morning before work, having some extra shredded cheese on hand has never hurt anybody. And, with the Publix Shredded Cheese being on BOGO, it’s hard for us to think of a more affordable option.
Vital Farms Eggs
Somehow, over the course of the past few years eggs have felt less like an everyday item and more and more like a luxury. From 2020 on, consistency in egg prices and quality overall has been far from ideal, and the companies who are still producing extraordinarily high-quality eggs have to do so at a price. Vital Farms is one of those companies that are still producing and distributing extremely high-quality eggs at a national level, but in order to do so a dozen of their eggs is typically going to run you over $10. And while it can be worth it to get the high-quality eggs you want, getting them on BOGO certainly does make the high price tag a bit more palatable.
