These Are The Best Tortilla Chips I’ve Ever Had

Is there anything more annoying than trying to buy a bag of chips that’s going to satisfy everyone at home? You have to mentally prepare yourself for the supermarket chip aisle, where hundreds of bags stare back at you from the shelves. There are far too many brands to choose from and then each brand has potentially dozens of flavor varieties, making the decision even more arduous. As delicious as chips are, it’s a true pain in the rear end finding the perfect option.

Lucky for you, we came across a chip so bold and delicious you’ll look those other bags of Ruffles, Doritos, and Lay’s in the metaphorical eye and tell them to take a hike. There’s a new pico de gallo-flavored chip strutting its stuff through town, and it comes from Mi Nina. 

“Just The Best Tortilla Chip”

The slogan on the top of the red bag reads “Just The Best Tortilla Chip,” which is always a bold claim to make. Are they really going to be the best? Or is Mi Nina just casually throwing those words around to increase their profits? Well, as I sat there reading the company story on the back of the bag, I knew there was only one way to find out if Mi Nina would truly live up to its promise. Grab one of those crunchy bad boys and start munching away. Lo and behold, I immediately realized the words rang true.

Pros: Now, let’s start with the pros of the chip, and there are plenty of them. The first thing to hit me was the flavor, obviously. These were spectacular. Interestingly enough, the chips don’t look like they’re dusted in tons of the pico de gallo seasoning, so I was expecting a mellow flavor. Boy, was I really wrong. These chips exploded with bold and zesty pico de gallo goodness. I truly don’t understand how each chip packs so much amazing flavor without a heavy coating of spices. Oh, well. Some things in life aren’t meant to be figured out. They’re just meant to be eaten and enjoyed. The next huge bonus was the lack of greasiness. Because these are corn chips, they don’t leave that oily residue you get with potato chips. You can eat handful after handful without your hands developing a thicker gloss of grease while you enjoy them. Huge props for that.

Cons: There’s honestly nothing negative I can really say about these chips. If I’m really stretching for something, I could admit I wish they lasted forever. Arriving at the crumbs at the bottom of the bag after my pico de gallo-inspired snack feast was certainly a huge bummer. But, it was probably a good thing they ran out, or I would have ended up skipping dinner entirely.

Mi Nina proves, without a doubt, they belong in everyone’s pantry. These chips were fantastic on their own, but using them for dipping would be even better. They add a huge punch of flavor to whatever you pair them with, and you don’t feel greasy after a snacking binge. So, give these chips a try ASAP.
