Each week when we go to the grocery store, everything just seems to be more and more expensive. Luckily for me, though, I live in an area where Publix grocery stores are in no short supply. So if ever the budget is a bit tight, there’s always Publix’s BOGO deals to fall back on to feed more for less.

Our only complaint that regard though, is that they have so many BOGO deals that sometimes it’s a bit overwhelming. And, when life’s busy, it can be too much to sift through the full catalog. So, we here at Sporked step in to give you our digestible list of the top five things we think you shouldn’t skip out on for Publix’s never-ending cycle of BOGO items for that week. These are the five things we think are must-get items to stock up on this week.

Katie’s Pasta Sauce

If you, like us, have been looking to try out this new Katie’s pasta sauce that’s been popping up in grocery stores, then consider this week the perfect invitation. Even if it doesn’t blow us out of the water, we can at least try out more than one flavor for the price of one. Plus, since it’s considered a more premium pasta sauce, the $8 price tag does indicate a superior quality. But this week we don’t need to pay that premium price to try it out since we can get two for the price of one.

Just Bare Chicken Breast Fillets

Like always, folks, if ever there is a fresh cut of chicken on BOGO at Publix we’re going to set the alarm bells. The reality is, most families eat chicken throughout the week. And if it’s something that everyone eats that can save a significant amount of money in the weekly food budget, then we’re gonna make sure you know about it. Just Bare Chicken Breast Fillets are on BOGO, so grab two packs (or four), and feed your family for less. You can even freeze some if you’d like to make the weeks ahead a bit more fiscally reasonable as well.

Cabot Butter

Cabot is among our favorite brands to purchase dairy products from at the grocery store due to their unwavering quality. And their butter is no different in that regard. But, we’ll be the first to admit that the quality does come with a steep price. That’s not gonna stop us today, though. It’s a good thing I just ran out of butter, because now is the perfect time to stock up. Both their salted and unsalted varieties are on BOGO, so there’s variety in this sale, too.

DiGiorno Stuffed Crust Pizza

Okay, I know we talk a lot about convenience here at Sporked. But, unless we’re giving you an entire recipe, it’s hard to just list off some standard ingredients on sale and expect that to be universally useful to our dear readers. What we do know a bunch of people like and can get used out of though is pizza. And, DiGiorno is still kind of on top of the frozen pizza game, at least in terms of the intersection of quality and cost. This week the cost is even more reasonable since they’re on BOGO. It can never really hurt to have a spare frozen pizza or two in the freezer for easy-going nights. So stock up, why don’t you?

Mars Minis Mixed Chocolate

This is the perfect week to get ahead on shopping for Halloween candy, and it’s not just because this variety pack is on BOGO at Publix. If you put it off any longer, you risk stores being out of stock of the things you really want, and especially the more elite candy combos. But, you really can’t go wrong with this bag. This variety of Three Musketeers, Snickers, Milky Way, and Twix bars, plus something fruity is basically all you need to satisfy Trick-or-Treaters and party attendees alike. So seize the moment and impress all of your friends when it comes time to Halloween, because you’ve had your candy stocked up for weeks.
