McDonald’s has been giving its drink menu a lot more attention lately. The chain’s CosMc’s experiment introduced fun, over-the-top beverages like the Sour Cherry Energy Burst, Popping Pear Slush, Berry Hibiscus Sour-Ade, S’mores Cold Brew, and Churro Frappé.

Now, it looks like McDonald’s may not be done dreaming up new drinks. A new leak from the company’s recent Worldwide Convention in Las Vegas suggests there’s an even bigger lineup of beverages being tested behind the scenes.
The Rumored Sodas Look Quite Tasty
Food news account Snackwire recently shared photos from McDonald’s Worldwide Convention in Las Vegas, where franchisees and employees reportedly got an early look at several drink concepts the company has been working on. These aren’t confirmed menu items, but they offer a sneak peek at what McDonald’s may be considering for the future.
The rumored lineup is packed with creative twists on classic drinks. One of the biggest head-turners for me is Dr Pepper Horchata, which sounds like it could combine the fizzy soda with the sweet cinnamon and vanilla flavors of the classic Mexican drink. Then there’s Diet Coke McDonaldland Cookie, which makes you wonder whether the drink would taste like a buttery cookie in soda form.
Sprite Zero Sugar also seems to be getting plenty of love, with rumored options including Swicy Peach, Peach Boost Energizer, and Strawberry Lychee Refresher. Other concepts reportedly shown at the event include Paradise Refresher, Spiced Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso, Iced Berry Vanilla Matcha and even something called The OG Coke Zero.
Whether all of these drinks make it to restaurants is anyone’s guess, but they definitely sound more exciting than another plain fountain soda
Red Bull Drinks Could Also Be On The Way
The leak also included several drinks made with Red Bull, suggesting McDonald’s may be looking at energy drinks in a much bigger way.
Among the rumored creations are Popping Citrus Energizer, Strawberry Shortcake Energizer, Triple Berry Energizer, Blue Ocean Energizer, Peach Boost Energizer, and Dragonberry Energizer.
The Rumors Actually Make A Lot Of Sense
These drinks may sound random, but they fit with what McDonald’s has been doing lately. The company has spent the past few years putting a bigger focus on beverages, especially through its CosMc’s concept, which introduced colorful refreshers, energy drinks, flavored coffees, and other creative drinks that went far beyond the usual fountain soda.
Of course, it’s important to remember that these drinks are still just rumors. Items shown at company conventions don’t always end up on restaurant menus. Still, it’s hard not to get a little excited. A menu with horchata-inspired Dr Pepper, peachy Sprite, berry matcha, and Red Bull refreshers sounds like the kind of drink lineup that would have fans making a McDonald’s run for more than just fries.
