These Rare M&M’s Are Returning For A Limited Time

For a little kid, M&M’s are probably one of the most desirable candies. We grew up loving them because they are colorful and have that crunchy candy shell, and yet they’re still filled with luscious chocolate. And what kid doesn’t like chocolate? They’re so iconic that countries all over the world replicate them for their own children to enjoy. From Norwegian Non Stop to British Smarties, it’s a universal truth that these candies are addictive and simply delicious.

But, as we mature and age, it’s a right of passage to realize that the original M&M’s aren’t necessarily where it’s at anymore. I’ll always remember the day I first tried peanut M&M’s, and I was forever changed. And now M&M’s has been up to some serious innovation over the last decade, extending flavors from their base lineup. From Peanut Butter M&M’s to caramel filled and crispy cookie filled M&M’s, it seems like every season we uncover a new possibility for flavors with M&M’s. But the flavor we’re talking about today isn’t an all-new item, it’s a returning favorite that have seemed impossible to get our hands on. They are, of course, the Peanut Butter Cinnamon Roll M&Ms.

Why The Sudden Return?

It’s a reasonable thing to question why these M&M’s would all of a sudden make a comeback after having been taken off shelves. But it’s actually quite a simple answer: M&M’s just wants to make their fans happy. They brought back their Flavor Vote in which fans of M&M’s could vote on their top pick out of a choice of three discontinued flavors to return to production. 

The funny part is Peanut Butter Cinnamon Roll didn’t even win that vote. In fact, it was the Lemon Meringue Pie M&M’s that actually won. Don’t worry those will be coming back, too. But for the time being they brought back the runner-up Peanut Butter Cinnamon Roll to keep hungry stomachs filled.

While the Lemon Meringue Pie M&M’s won’t be here until Spring of 2027, the Peanut Butter Cinnamon Roll M&M’s are already being located on grocery store shelves across the country — and the fans are excited. 

One Instagram comment reads, “PB cinnamon roll will be consumed by the fistfuls.” And, commenters on the M&M’s website are huge fans of the peanut butter and cinnamon roll flavor collision in the middle of their beloved M&M’s. One commenter even said, “they were destined to conquer the world.” Sounds like the perfect time to curl up with a bag of this returning favorite, a good movie, and enjoy a night well spent.
