What happens when two seemingly non-complementary breakfasts are mashed into one? Behold: Thomas’ Froot Loops Mini Bagels.
As far as unholy breakfast abominations go, this one is actually pretty tasty. When I first heard about Froot Loops Mini Bagels, I thought there was no way these two distinct flavors could complement each other. And I was right; they don’t. But that Froot Loops flavor is pretty tasty.
For this new product tasting, I tried one bagel toasted and one “raw.” They have a chewy consistency, like store-bought bagels, but everything else about them screams Froot Loops. Rather than mini-bagels, it was like eating huge, bready Froot Loops. Let’s get into more details with a full review.

The first thing I noticed about these mini bagels was the overpowering smell. Before I even opened the bag, it felt like I was in the middle of a Froot Loops factory. These things smell sweet—like you let some Froot Loops soak for an hour then stuck your face in the bowl and took a huge whiff. The thing is though, it’s not a bad smell. Froot Loops smell pretty good. They smell like childhood and Saturday morning cartoons.
Pros: Froot Loops Mini Bagels are well made store bought bagels. They have just enough chew, they toast well, and they’re a nice size for a snack. The overpowering Froot Loops smell gives a big honking hit of nostalgia. These mini bagels really do taste like Froot Loops. So in that regard, they are an overwhelming success!
Cons: There’s a pretty good reason that this combination has never been tried before. They texture, the flavor, and the smell just do not go together. Depending on how you frame these in your mind, you’re either eating super bready Froot Loops or extremely sweet bagels. It was a fine experiment. But it doesn’t really succeed in creating something that’s better than the sum of its parts.
