Tom Hanks’ Coffee Is Now Exclusively at This Store

Tom Hanks: Actor. Icon. Certified Nice Guy. And…Coffee Brand. Yep, that’s right. Tom Hanks has his own line of coffee, HANKS, which he’s been building relatively quietly for a couple of years and which has added to his portfolio of business ventures (which include production companies and writing apps).

Now, though, HANKS is about to go nationwide: The brand, and Tom Hanks himself, just dropped the news that the coffee’s now stocked at Walmarts across the country. Here’s the lowdown on the actor’s entry into the coffee world, and what’s driving his mission to get it out there. 

What Is HANKS?

Tom Hanks’ coffee brand was launched at the end of 2022, under the name HANX (we’re not sure when the change occurred, but we agree that the new one is better). Notably, the brand was created by Hanks as part of his mission to platform military and veterans’ stories, which can be seen throughout a lot of his film and TV work. He puts his money where his mouth is with it, too. “We saw HANKS as a way to support Veterans and military families, as 100% of net profit will go to organizations that have proven to be of great aid to those who have served our country,” says Hanks in a statement on the HANKS website. “Good products for good reasons.”

HANKS has somewhat flown under the radar for the first few years of its life and wasn’t super easy to find. The products have actually been stocked at certain Walmarts for a little while now, but it seems that they were only available in select areas. This new move into being more widely available, though, will give it a lot more visibility – and likely drive even more profit to contribute to the organizations it supports, like the Bob Woodruff Foundation, The Headstrong Project, and Hire Heroes USA. 

Which HANKS Flavors Can I Buy?

Walmart is due to stock HANKS Medium Roast and Dark Roast, as well as HANKS Chocolate Turtle Pods. The latter is also a coffee, but flavored with chocolate, caramel, and nut notes. Certain Walmarts will also (hopefully) continue to stock its Decaf, which is also available online. 

We’re not sure where any of these will sit in our best coffee rankings just yet, but people have praised the smoothness of HANKS brews, and the richness of their aromas – which is exactly what you want from a coffee, after all. Once we’ve tried it, we’ll be letting you know.
