Vita Coco, a beverage brand specializing in flavored coconut water and coconut milk, recently added a new dessert-style bevvy to their line-up: Frosted Lemonade Vita Coco Treats. A little backstory for those unfamiliar: Vita Coco’s Treats line is basically their attempt to turn coconut milk into a sippable dessert. They have two other flavors out right now—Orange & Creme and Strawberries & Creme—and Frosted Lemonade is their newest addition.
I tried this new Vita Coco for myself and passed it around to the rest of the Sporked team to get their thoughts. (Sharing is caring.) I’ll be honest, I’ve never had Chick-fil-A’s Frosted Lemonade, which is probably the first thing some of you thought of when you saw the name. Sadly, I can’t compare and contrast the two flavors, but I can tell you if this tastes any good. Let’s get into it.

New Vita Coco!

Pros: This is like sipping a melted lemon sorbet. I made the Brittany Broski kombucha face when I first tried it; not in a bad way, I just haven’t had a Vita Coco Treats drink before, so I wasn’t expecting something so sweet and creamy. It’s lemony, gently tart, and lightly coconutty. I don’t know if I would drink the whole thing, but I would absolutely mix it with a little white rum or coconut rum and pretend I’m at the beach.
Cons: I can’t believe I’m about to say this… I wish this had a stronger coconut milk flavor. (My canned coconut milk taste test traumatized me for life. Maybe this is a sign I’m healing?) It almost feels very tiki-tropical, but it mostly tastes like dessert. A heavier lemony tang would be nice, too. (Also, each beverage box has 34 grams of sugar. Which is better than a can of Mountain Dew, but still, you’ve been warned.)
Verdict: I don’t know if I could drink all of this in one sitting without some booze, but I do think it tastes pretty darn yummy.

Howdy! I’m a Sporked writer based in L.A., and you can find me overstaying my welcome at just about any coffee shop with free wifi, no matter the speed. Sadly, I can never move back to my home state, Florida, because even if the seafood is totally unmatched, there aren’t enough Mediterranean or Korean restaurants to keep me sane.
