Papa John’s for breakfast sounds a little crazy, but there is now an official way to make it happen. Papa Johns is teaming up with PopUp Bagels for a limited-time collaboration that brings two of the pizza chain’s most popular flavors to the breakfast table.

So, instead of reaching for a leftover slice first thing in the morning, breakfast can now come with a bagel covered in Papa Johns-inspired goodness.
Pepperoncini For Breakfast
The first new flavor arrives August 27th and it is all about the little pepper that has been hanging out in Papa John’s pizza boxes for years.
The Papa John’s Pepperoncini Cream Cheese Schmear takes the chain’s signature pepperoncini and turns it into a creamy bagel spread. The flavor is expected to have that familiar tangy, slightly pickled taste, along with a little heat and plenty of creaminess.
PopUp Bagels currently lists the Papa John’s Pepperoncini Cream Cheese as an upcoming limited-edition schmear, with an August 27th launch date.
PopUp Bagels serves its bagels hot and encourages customers to “Grip, Rip and Dip,” so the new schmear can be used for dipping rather than simply being spread across the top.
Garlic Butter Is Coming Next
Anyone who loves the little cup of Papa John’s garlic sauce that comes with a pizza order will probably want to pay attention to this one.
The Garlic Butter Schmear arrives September 3rd and is inspired by Papa Johns’ signature garlic sauce. So it has a rich, creamy spread with garlic flavor and a little saltiness. A hot, chewy bagel with a thick layer of garlic butter schmear sounds dangerously easy to finish.
PopUp Bagels Is Literally Popping Up At Papa Johns
The collaboration gets a real-life debut on September 3rd, when PopUp Bagels will pop up at a Papa John’s restaurant in Atlanta.
Fans at the event can grab complimentary bagels and schmears while supplies last. The brands are also teasing a few extra surprises, so the Atlanta event should have a little more going on than a regular bagel run.
For everyone outside Atlanta, the nationwide PopUp Bagels rollout means there is still a chance to try the new flavors without going to Georgia.
Breakfast Just Got A Lot More Interesting
There is something pretty interesting about taking two flavors most people associate with a pizza order and giving them a breakfast makeover. It’s certainly worth trying.
The Pepperoncini Cream Cheese Schmear arrives August 27th, followed by the Garlic Butter Schmear on September 3rd. Both are part of the limited-time Papa John’s and PopUp Bagels collaboration, with the Atlanta pop-up happening on September 3rd while supplies last.
