We Have New Nugget Sauces At Burger King After Fan Feedback

Earlier this year, we saw Burger King taking the initiative to make themselves more accessible to their fans and to let their fans help inspire and influence the menu. And we’ve got a menu update thanks to fan feedback. So Burger King is really out here listening. Let’s see what they came away all those texts and calls with.

This new menu innovation may seem simple at first, but it’s a big flavor influence without major hassles. BK has released several new sauces for their nuggets (or fries or whatever else you wanna dip, we don’t judge how people sauce). Now they’re not all new sauces, some of these are their existing sauces that have been tweaked per feedback and made even better. But there is one new limited edition sauce available to dunk your nugs in for a bit. 

New Sauce (With Some Familiar Faves)

The new sauce is Special Savory Sauce: a creamy, tangy, and lightly spicy blend of flavors with hints of BBQ seasoning, ketchup, garlic, onion and black pepper. It sounds like this will be similar to Cane’s sauce, which I’m definitely here for. I’m just disappointed that Burger King made the choice that this new sauce would only be a limited release.

As for the sauces that were upgraded, Honey Mustard, Buffalo, and Sweet & Sour all got some work done. Honey Mustard is now a richer and creamier take on their classic, made with mustard and honey for the perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavor. Buffalo is a classic cayenne pepper sauce with buttery richness, savory garlic notes, and just the right amount of heat. Sweet & Sour is a brighter and more balanced take on the classic, blending sweet pineapple flavor with tangy notes and a savory finish. 

Why We’re So Excited

I think the sauces picked for this change were solid ones. They’re going to be some of the most popular menu additions and likely the ones people most wanted to see updated. But that’s not all they refreshed. No, BK went right for the source of the dunk and changed their chicken nuggets recipe as well. Their new nuggets have been tested and updated according to requests and the new nuggets promise to be better than ever before. 

The new nuggets and revamped sauces will start rolling out nationwide on September 1st. Are you excited to see them updating the nuggets and retooling their sauces?
