One thing about September is certain: It’s here. Wait, two things. September also means new Trader Joe’s items. Here are some of the most exciting new Trader Joe’s products we spotted this month.
- Apizza Gouda Cheese
-
This cheese comes infused with marinated tomatoes, oregano, and garlic, making it a quick and easy way to airlift the flavors of pizza wherever is most convenient. Drop a slice onto a piece of toast! Sprinkle some shreds into a quesadilla! Sneak the whole wedge into a meeting and use it to muffle your grumbles that this could have been an email!
- Furikake Snack Mix
-
Starting with strong players like mochi crisps, sesame sticks, corn chips, waffle crisps, and wasabi peas already has us running to the aisle. Adding umami bombs and furikake staples like sesame seeds, seaweed, and mushroom, onion, and garlic powder? We’re sweeping the whole shelf into our carts like two passionate workplace lovers in a bad rom-com disrespectfully clearing a desk. Come on, that filing system took time!
- Antipasto Stick
-
Sure, antipasto means “before the meal” in Italian, but this is 2025. There have been breakthroughs in quantum computing. Oasis returned. If we want to eat 50 meat and cheese sticks as our meal, we should feel empowered to do that. These refrigerated snacks combine mozzarella sticks with salty prosciutto into a single product that HR has begged us to stop calling “pleasure sticks.” It also has 10 grams of protein and is the only stick of snacking cheese that’s acceptable to eat without peeling. Peak adulthood.
- 3 Cheese Pasta with Eggplant
-
Based off of Siciliy’s pasta alla norma—traditionally made with noodles, eggplant, tomato sauce, basil, and cheese—TJ’s version features penne, bechamel sauce, three cheeses, and enough eggplant to make even the strictest carnivores say, “I don’t miss the meat,” and the hosts of the dinner say, “What’s that talking jaguar doing in my kitchen?” This pasta may not be able to answer that question, but it can provide the comfort, warmth, and heartiness of a great Italian meal with just a quick trip to the microwave or oven. Suck it, Nonna.
- Hazelnut and Cocoa-Filled Crepes
-
Soft, springy crepes? Sweet, creamy chocolate hazelnut spread? Individual wrapping to ensure that each one is as delightful as the last? The only problem we have with this product is that we always end up singing a rendition of Radiohead’s “Creep” that declares that we are crepes, we are weirdos. Never mind that our singing makes that last clause redundant, let’s focus on what a great snack or after-dinner treat these are! Seriously, let’s focus on the hazelnut and cocoa crepes! Stop humming Radiohead!
