Sure, there are some problems with Whole Foods new(ish) ownership…but it has resulted in some pretty good deals, as well. Let’s talk about ’em.
Ever since Amazon bought out Whole Foods Market, the food store has slowly but surely changed beyond all recognition. Okay, that’s not quite true, but it doesn’t take a genius to notice that it all feels a little more corporate than it used to. Amazon’s management of the company has seen it turn from a local-feeling store into one that has a massive online presence, and its once-beloved produce has taken a bit of a backseat in its importance. That’s only set to continue, with Amazon shutting down its Fresh and Go stores and expanding Whole Foods in the coming years.
Amazon’s ownership, though, has also brought some perks to customers in the form of some nifty deals (well, if you’re a Prime member, that is). And for the next few months, Whole Foods is going hard on discounts every Tuesday and Friday, with some savings you may well wanna snap up. Here’s what it’s offering.
Tuesday Dinner Deals
If the week’s already got the better of you by Tuesday evening, Whole Foods has you covered with discounted chicken. Every Tuesday, Prime members can get $2 off their Whole Foods Market Rotisserie Chickens, which will set you up with protein through to the weekend.
Elsewhere, Whole Foods’ Tuesday Dinner Deals go hard on 50% off offers. It’s currently running Buy One, Get 50% Off deals for the following items:
- Whole Foods Market Kitchens Packaged Soup
- Whole Foods Market Kitchens Individual Meals
- Gotham Greens Salad Greens and Salad Kits
- Whole Foods Market Bakery Half Loaves
- 365 by Whole Foods Market 80% Lean Ground Beef Brick
You could put together a pretty good dinner with all of those, to be honest.
Friday Weekend Deals
Whole Foods’ weekend deals are where it gets a little bit fancy schmancy. Its Buy One, Get 50% Off deal continues with its Packaged Sushi Rolls, and it also has a Buy One, Get One Free offer on Gusto Charcuterie Snack Packs. If you fancy really splurging on oysters at the end of the week (and why wouldn’t you, we guess), then the store also offers a dozen live oysters for $12.
Want to keep things a bit more casual? You can pick up a large 1-topping pizza from Whole Foods Market for just 12 bucks each Friday, and wash it down with a $7.99 bottle of any AKIRA wine. Finish off your meal with a Whole Foods Market Bakery Family-Pack Tiramisu or Tres Leches Cake, which both cost $10 on Fridays.
Those Pesky Terms and Conditions
Honestly, Whole Foods’ T’s & C’s for these deals are as long as your arm, so if you want the full whack, head over to its website. Here are the headlines, though: These deals are running from now until the end of April, and you naturally have to be a Prime member to take advantage of them. They’re also not running in Hawaii (what’s that about, Amazon?), and quantity limits may apply to your items.
Don’t let all that put you off what could be some good savings, though. If you’re already a Prime member, these deals may well be worth your time.
