You Can Get A Peet’s Coffee For 25¢ On National Coffee Day

National Coffee Day is always a good excuse for another cup, but Peet’s Coffee is taking the celebration back several decades. On September 29th, the coffee chain will sell a medium drip coffee for just 25 cents at participating coffee bars.

The price-drop is part of Peet’s 60th anniversary celebration. The coffee chain is bringing its medium coffee back to the same price it had when Alfred Peet opened his first shop in Berkeley, California, in 1966.

Peet’s Is Bringing Back A 25-Cent Coffee

A medium drip coffee normally costs much more than a quarter these days, which makes this National Coffee Day deal feel like a trip back in time.

On September 29th, customers at participating Peet’s cafés can grab a medium drip coffee for $0.25. The deal is limited to one discounted coffee per customer and any extras or modifications cost more. The offer also cannot be combined with other discounts.

Peet’s Is Celebrating 60 Years

The National Coffee Day deal is also the latest part of Peet’s 60th anniversary celebration.

Earlier this year, Peet’s marked the anniversary with its 2026 Anniversary Blend. The company described the blend as a tribute to six decades of craft and Alfred Peet’s influence on the brand. It launched on April 1st, the anniversary of the day the original Berkeley coffee bar opened in 1966. 

The anniversary celebration is expected to continue beyond September, too. Peet’s says a new brand campaign will launch later this year, focusing on the idea of being an “original” and bringing the company’s founding spirit into the present.

There’s Also A Cold Brew Deal

Not a fan of hot coffee? Peet’s has something for the cold brew crowd. 

The chain is offering a Cold Brew Pass that gives Peetnik Rewards members 30 days of medium Cold Brew for $30. Once the pass is purchased, a medium Cold Brew reward becomes available each day for 30 days. The daily rewards have to be used on the day they are issued, so there is no saving them up for a giant cold brew marathon later.

The pass is available through September 30th at participating Peet’s cafés.

Home Coffee Gets A Little Love Too

Peet’s is also offering 25% off at Peets.com, so coffee fans who prefer making their drinks at home can join the celebration, too.

The website sells a range of Peet’s coffee products, including whole beans, K-Cup pods and espresso capsules.

A Quarter For Coffee Is Hard To Ignore

National Coffee Day deals can get pretty creative, but Peet’s is taking things in a different direction by going all the way back to 1966.

On September 29th, a medium drip coffee at participating Peet’s cafés will cost just 25 cents, which is so hard to pass up. But the deal lasts for one day, and there is a limit of one discounted coffee per customer.
