What’s the tea this holiday season? Oh, just 24 days of fun, fragrant brews and cozy flavor blends poured into those dusty (but charming) winter mugs you only break out in December. (Yes, I know they’re handwash-only and that’s a pain, but it’s time to take them out of the display hutch and finally put them to good use.) We rounded up the best tea advent calendars for 2025 so you’ll have something warm to sip while you gossip about who’s sleeping with who at the corporate holiday party…because what better way to end the year?

The Republic of Tea 12 Days of Sipping (Best 12-Day)

You’ve probably seen those tall, elegant Republic of Tea canisters boasting wacky flavor blends (like S’mores, Blackberry Sage, Pumpkin Pie Chai) in the tea aisle. Or perhaps you recall spotting the brand’s Bridgerton-themed teas at World Market? For the holidays, RoT offers a simple but creative 12-day advent calendar featuring a pair of teas behind every window, so you can share with a spouse, friend, or family member. The flavors are fun and festive, at a great price point ($19.99) with pretty glowing reviews online. It’s nothing extravagant, but if you want a short and sweet December ritual that won’t cost your entire holiday bonus, definitely check it out.

Twinings (Best Bargain)

Whenever we taste test different kinds of tea here at Sporked, Twinings is typically part of the conversation since their teas are easy to find at most U.S. grocery stores. We’ve liked a couple of their teas enough to rank them (their Lady Grey Black Tea is one of our faves), so we trust this more affordable tea advent calendar to have some range and reliability. Like Republic of Tea, every window comes with a pair of teas (48 tea bags in total) instead of just one bag, so it’s built for sharing (or hoarding, if you want the price of two for one). You can find this at World Market, Walmart, Amazon, and other retailers near you.

Palais Des Thés (Best Value)

Made in France, Palais Des Thés offers one of the more affordable tea advent calendars ($39.90) on this list for a more upscale brand. The calendar includes a range of robust, whole-leaf teas, from herbal to green and black—plus their 2025 limited edition holiday flavor, Joie, which is green tea with roasted buckwheat and almond (YUM!). If you’re a history geek, this might be the best tea advent calendar for you: behind 11 surprise panels, you’ll find audio stories about the legends and lore of, well, tea. The tea on tea, if you will.

Vadham (Best Loose Leaf)

If you love premium loose leaf teas sourced from India (like Assam and Darjeeling black teas and Moringa green tea) and you’re willing to splurge a little on your daily December cup, Vadham is one of the best tea advent calendars to pick up. Think richly spiced chai, aromatic fruit blends, and rare types of tea that you simply won’t get from other brands. This is definitely on the pricier side ($85.95 from William Sonoma), but true tea aficionados will love it.

DavidsTea 24 Days of Tea (Best Festive Variety)

Just take a second to peruse the different blends here: Peaches & Cream Oolong Tea, Caramel Shortbread Tea, Sleepy Lychee Tea… the list goes on. I’m not saying that you should choose a tea advent calendar based on cute and cozy names. But DavidsTea is the largest specialty tea boutique in Canada, so there is a little substance behind the style. It’s on the pricier side for sure ($75.90), but if you want every day of December to start off feeling festive, this might be the way to go.

Bird & Blend (Best Herbal Tea)

Bird & Blend offers two advent cals: a caffeine and caffeine-free version for all the herbal tea lovers out there. It’s a nice mix of playful fruit infusions, herbal blends, and cozy rooibos flavors, so you’re still getting a strong variety even opting for the caffeine-free version. This brand is incredibly environmentally friendly, too, in case you want to end your year on some good karma. The tea bags are biodegradable and plastic-free, and Bird & Blend even plants one tree for every calendar made. This is a UK-based tea brand, so you will have to pay more for shipping—even with that in mind, it’s still not the priciest on this list! That honor belongs to…

Fortnum and Mason (Most Posh)

Do you like to feel spoiled during the holidays? If so, Fortnum and Mason might be the best tea advent calendar to splurge on. You can literally open up your little daily windows like a member of the British royal family, since this brand is an official tea supplier to the royal houses. You can find more refined blends like classic Earl Grey, Green Tea with Mandarin, and Rose Pouchong (all of which screams “old money” to me) alongside more holiday-focused flavors like Christmas Black Tea and Christmas Spiced Green Tea. I have to say: This is one of the most beautiful tea advent calendars I’ve seen so far this year. And given the price ($89.95), it should be. But I’ve seen reviews online that say most of their flavors are identical to the year prior, so just keep that in mind if you’ve had this before and want something new!
