We really didn’t need another reason to move to Canada, but here it is: a brand new Oreo flavor has been spotted in Canadian grocery stores. Everyone say hello to Brown Sugar Bubble Tea Oreos—a flavor clearly engineered to hurt me, the resident boba tea lover here at Sporked, specifically. A moment of silence for me and the rest of the world, please.

“So I can’t find these new Oreos at my local 7-Eleven, Ariana?” Not in America, babe. You’ll need to cross the border to get this Canada-exclusive Oreo flavor. (At least right now. We haven’t heard anything about this new Oreo flavor coming to the U.S., but you better believe I’m DM’ing Oreos from the official Sporked IG account with an obnoxious amount of emojis and petty begging. I have zero—zero—shame.)

What should a brown sugar boba tea cookie taste like, in theory?

I don’t know. Heaven? Like the first three times I binged all of Heated Rivalry? Brown sugar boba tea drinks tend to layer sweet melted brown sugar and hot milk over a slightly bitter note of black tea. I personally doubt Oreo is going for anything bitter, though. According to cereal and snack influencer cereallife, these new Oreos taste toasty and creamy, with notes of vanilla, caramel, and, yes, brown sugar. (Hi, @cereallife. I don’t suppose you’re looking for an American wife? I would love to work something out. I don’t love cereal but, uh, I’m a really fun texter?)

Can you stop proposing to Canadian strangers on the internet and tell me what’s inside the cookie, please?

These new Oreo cookies have a so-called “brown sugar bubble tea” creme filling sandwiched between what appear to be two golden vanilla wafers. Okay? Are you happy? More importantly, areyou Canadian and seeking an American wife? Let me know. I’m trying to escape.

Howdy! I’m a Sporked writer based in L.A., and you can find me overstaying my welcome at just about any coffee shop with free wifi, no matter the speed. Sadly, I can never move back to my home state, Florida, because even if the seafood is totally unmatched, there aren’t enough Mediterranean or Korean restaurants to keep me sane.
